ScubaMarket Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Hello folks The Big D has had me scrambling to start up a new dive shop so ive been offline for a couple of months setting up another shop in Jax Fla. I've tried to avoid letting one of my most prized possesions go but I must to raise more attorney fees. Now i can relate to the feelings of the guy who sold her to me almost a year ago. Nontheless, as many here can attest I paid $5200 last january and would like to get most of it back. This rare 4 digit standard will only increase in value as less than around 400 were ever made. I like the new and the old as the hamer quality is still there. Please PM me with any offer over 4K as I will not take less. 0192 Pictures soon Thanks
cmatthes Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Good to hear from ya. Hope all's going well.
ScubaMarket Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 Good to hear from ya. Hope all's going well. Thanks Chris. Im fine considering the divorce mess. Guys 0192 is now on ebay. Hopefully she goes to another good home.ThanksBob
Pieman Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Just curious why you had it plekked, pots replaced etc.? Good luck with the sale. Life goes on after a divorce. A bit rougher (especially if there are kids involved), but the next wife is ususally a beter match. YMMV.
cornjulio Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Just curious why you had it plekked, pots replaced etc.? Good luck with the sale. I was wondering the same thing. If it's a ´79, wouldn't you want to keep it in it's original condition? It looks great...good luck with the sale...C.

If it's a ´79, wouldn't you want to keep it in it's original condition? It looks great...good luck with the sale... C. Good question guys. Here's the reasons for the change out. (1) I had absolutely NO PLANS to sell this guitar. (2) The old pots and wiring were scratchy and OLD. The replacements came from a guy gene new and are BETTER than what was there. (3) All the old pick ups pots etc will be given to the new owner. Should they be that nostalgic they can return 0192 to original condition. In regards to divorce. I will NEVER marry again. Thats the best way to RUIN a perfect relationship. My new girlfriend agrees and feels the same way thank god. Your right the next lady S/B a better match! My new lady is prettier, younger, smarter, spearfishes, and is a MUCH better match Im retired & broke but life is good. I'll be back on top with the $$ game soon. Thanks Bob BTW She is on the evilbay with a reserve of around $4500.00. I also found a period correct red lined Hamer USA case that will be sent along with her as well.
BTMN Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I told Bob to put a RS Guitar Works wiring kit in this cutie. Man, wish I had the 5K to get a Standard 3 numbers after one I already have. Is that greed or just G.A.S. ?

The car glowing with radiation as he takes the guitar parts from the trunk in the 7/11 parking lot

Man, wish I had the 5K to get a Standard 3 numbers after one I already have. Is that greed or just G.A.S. ? Gene you are the man! Thanks for reminding me of the name of the guy who made the wiring/pots kit. He also did a GREAT job and I'm sure this fine guitar plays the same if not better than she did when new. Also I forgot to mention that the 2nd guy who owned this guitar had bought it around 81'-82' from what was in that time the largest store in MN. I believe he said the name of the store was Knutt Koppe. He also said that Dez Dickerson (Prince's Guitarist at the time) had traded it in and that he was the original owner of the guitar. Thanks Bob www.divejax.com

Hamerica Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Congrats on the quick sale. Glad to hear your on the way to recovery. All the best to you and the new girlfriend. Hamerica
ScubaMarket Posted November 10, 2009 Author Posted November 10, 2009 Congrats on the quick sale. Glad to hear your on the way to recovery. All the best to you and the new girlfriend. Hamerica Thanks Guys! She sold to somebody with good feedback in Chicago. I didn't recognize the name however I hope it stays in the club. Considering she sold in less than a day and was already bid up high makes me think that it would of probably far exceeded the $5200 BIN mark. I also got tons of e-mails about her. I paid $5200 last year without hesitation when I had plenty of jackola. She is worth every penny and is an awesome player. My Girlfriend picked up my 91' SB and now likes to play. I think I bought that one from special K?? Man, I love that guitar and now she does too. She's also now a Hamer Fan! I'm keeping my 2008 59'Burst Hamer USA Standard as it has the tone and is a great player. Looking forward to getting back in the 4 digit club this summer though when the scuba season swings back around! My 2005 Les Paul Black Beauty Custom is up for grabs next for $2275.00 shipped free. Pics soon.. Thanks Bob
