Might be able to update this list alittle.

Peter

Are you trying to tell us you got 0001 from Martin????

Here's a clue

Peter

But you already KNOW where the Comita 12 is!

Oh no, tell me you did NOT get #0004 and refinish it tiger stripes like RoyB's just so you could have a matching set?!

I'm guessing he went back in time to catch the flag graphic junior-special as it tumbled from the stage...

I regret selling many of the guitars I've owned, but the one I regret selling the most was the Hamer Standard serial number 0008 that I bought from Roy Buchanan circa 1978. We both lived near Lovettsville, in Loudoun County, VA, and met at Melodee Music in Leesburg where we both did a lot of business. It was in "like-new" condition and came with a HUGE (and HEAVY!) ATA flight case. I paid him $800.00 for it. I should have gotten documentation from him, but I was a dumb kid at the time (as I was when I sold it).

I think I have some photos of me playing that guitar at a couple of gigs. I'll try to find them, and post them when I do.

Did you sell a 59 LP for 2500 like Rick N? That's gotta hurt right in the keyster

No, nothing quite that valuable (otherwise I might not be able to sleep at night!). But I did buy (and subsequently sell) an early ('59 or '60) double-cutaway TV yellow Gibson Les Paul "Special" for $500.00 back in the late '70's/early '80's. It was all original, except for the tuning machines (and I put a "Badass" bridge on it). I estimate that it would be worth at least ten times what I bought and sold it for today.

I remember a TV special they had with hack marks on the back of the neck (like it had been beat on a mike stand or something) That was perhaps the first guitar I played that had some magic or mojo that instantly felt like an old friend to me. I never knew that a guitar could make me sound better right away and seemed to draw more out of my teenage hacking. I'll remember that axe forever. and the super cool Northern Prairie guys who let some kid (me) play it... often.

Come on Steve, you know I think Roy does great work, but would hate to put him through that experience again.

I remember back in the late 70's early 80's watching Rick do that solo and then watching Dave Wilmer "reel in" the sunburst by it's cord.

I know! Damn can't wait for the full unveiling. Hell maybe I don't want to see it. I may not be able to take it.

RN has a monthly column in this magazine (Guitar Aficianado). He had one on a tele he loaned to John Lennon and got back from Yoko years later, one on a Gretsch that he bought from Gruhn that was broken into lots of tiny pieces and eventually restored. Crazy stuff. Worth getting the mag despite the off-putting name.

We came to a mutual agreement that neither of us could refuse. This is going to be big, more to come when the time is right!!!!

Why does it look like the low E is too far away from the edge of the fretboard by a good bit?

Can't wait for more pictures!

Was this guitar used in the studio on any albums? My older brother gave me Dream Police for Christmas in 1978 (I think). It was my first album ever and still have it and play it.

Alright.. alright already... enough!

My cell phone has been lit up for the past 72 plus hours already!..

Here's what I got.. and I don't wanna rain on ANYTHING that Pete's gonna post/announce/unveil.. whatever you wanna call it..

What I got through some underground rumblings is that maybe there's a west coast based collector and a famous Hamer player/endorser who goes all the way back to the "ground floor".. maybe they've been talking and maybe there's gonna be some major rumblings in CT. The state NOT the band.

Let's see-Bun E. is stepping off the stool...

Rick is taking on a new instrument and has finally struck a deal for trading a block of his guitar collection to Peter for the bulk of Peter's rare custom Kazoo collection...

Peter is FINALLY getting to direct that porno minseries and touring musical about the life and times of Ben Stein and he talked Rick into doing the soundtrack!

Kevin, thanks alot.....

Steve, pretty close. It is actually the new Tiger Wood's musical "I shanked my wood but my putter still works" that we are working on. We're opening "Off Broadway".
