murkat Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Bought this on the cheap from a fellow HFC'r for me as a "project". Yeah, thats what I need, a "project"... So, on my self proclaimed day off, what do I do...... After some stripper applications, I am flat boarding the top level. Into it for a couple of hours. I'm thinking another 3/32's to go with 80 grit. Something to plug into in the shop.... Shop shot Be safe, have an enjoyable Memorial weekend! J
Feynman Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 How you saw the potential in that is beyond me, but it's beginning to look like an awesome guitar.
Bobby Marshall Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 This one will get amen from above and hell yes from below. Can't wait to see final assembly, if you leave the metal pickguard rough or polished.

gtone Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Bitchin' Jay!! What you end up going with pickup-wise (it's nice and double-creamy whatever it is!)?
murkat Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Bitchin' Jay!! What you end up going with pickup-wise (it's nice and double-creamy whatever it is!)? I am repairing, rebuilding, winding, potting pickups as well The one in the Vweed is reminiscent of the old school JB from the '80,s ....
velorush Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 That is intensely cool! The 'riveted' pickguard is genius and works incredibly well with the color! That truss rod cover should be trademarked.
BlueRedWhite Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I love the spear-like metal on the headstock...that screams Metal all over...can't wait to see more
