OK, so I'm not into facebook, not my thing. Not DISSING it, but I'd rather spend the time playing guitar.
My band is working up a facebook page. I had a friend log on and l poked around a bit on the site. I see the appeal of the whole networking thing, but I really just want to be left alone, basically (anti-social networking?).
Is there a way to create an account w/o the obligations of "walls", "likes", "friends", etc and keep it neutral and professional vis a vis the band site? I guess I'll have to contribute on some level, but can I do it w/o having to deal with marginal characters from my past, with relative anonimity?

Can I use a nom de plume?
Can I register with a temporary email addy?
Thanks in advance for any guidance!
