Charvel / Jackson Model 6, circa 1986

Completely stock, unmodified and in nearly perfect condition. Black Cherry metallic finish, sharkfins and a Floyd. One blemish in the body that is nearly imperceptable, plays and sounds great, includes the original chainsaw case that's in very good condition with one crack. $1,000.00 $900.00 $800.00. You won't find another in this condition anywhere.

In 1986 a couple of friends opened a music store in Dyersburg (Tennessee) and signed up to sell Ibanez and Charvel. The required buy-in was enormous with each company and made for an impressive opening. Of all the guitars THIS guitar (Model 6, Black Cherry) was the one out of all the guitars everyone was drooling over!

Alas, being a poor college student, I settled for a somewhat less awesome used Model 3A, then quickly swapped it for the new red Model 3 that I've posted about before.

Amazing all of the memories this brings back. Do I spy the protective plastic still on the truss rod cover?

Those guitars are virtually impossible to beat for the money if you're in the market for a top-notch neck-thru 80s shredder. The only difference between that and a stock Jackson Soloist of the day is the rosewood fingerboard instead of ebony (and the rosewood sounds better to my ears), the MIJ construction and the logo. Great guitars.

This is most certainly true. *Very* well made guitars. Wish i still had mine (midnight blue, or whatever color it was called...)

I believe it was called "cobalt blue"?

I've had three of these Model 6's...all in the metallic (pearl) white. Killer guitars...every bit as good as a USA Soloist, IMO. Only complaint would be the JT6 trem, but that should swap out with a Floyd or Schaller easily...however if you do I'd reccommend modifying the notch in the stock trem studs where the knife edge rides.
