It's awesome to see how a guitar really takes shape. damn shame that with things they way they are, I'll never get a chance to have a custom build made. oh well.Yeah I know. The whole reason for this thread was for all of us to enjoy works in progress past.Anyone who has pics, please contribute.

Every Watson I have ever seen has had the three a side Hamer headstock Check out the Cali in the rack. Who has that one?
silentman Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 If I recall, that cali was in for a refin. Not a new build.
cmatthes Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Nope. It was a new Cali. Mahogany body with a maple cap. It MAY have been a "test" piece, since it didn't have a Custom Order tag, like every single other instrument on the line had.

Bicycles, furniture/cabinet making, gun-smiths, amplifiers, motorcycles. Half of the love someone invests in owning something unique is watching it come to life in the hands of the craftsmen/women who are creating it. The internet has made that very easy to do.

veatch Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Love's B-minor, and turns every finish into glass! Yes, sir. When i got it. the finish was a frickin' mirror (especially the headstock). I talked with Greg and had a pretty cool CO in mind because of it. Then, my economy went to jack...
