Afterward, I kind of regretted the change.I knew I was going with the trans red as soon as I learned that I'd made the cut on the Ultimate list. Sort of a second chance at perfection.It's the best color!

I'm guessing there will be many in sunburst and natural/amber, a few in trans red and at least one in black.Any one going with green or lizard burst?

Trans-grape? Might have to load my old copy of Photo-Draw on the new PC this evening and do some 'sperimenting!

velorush Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Loaded up Photo-Draw (MS' answer to Photoshop they stopped supporting around Y2K, but it still works for my meager purposes) and came up with these: I like them all, but I don't know if I'd want to actually ask Mike to make 0023 any of them other than the orange. I do like the CMatthes trans green with green back better than the trans green with natural back I've cobbled together. Fun exercise. Opinions? ETA: a little better version of orange.

cmatthes Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Yes.PRS did a small run of highly flamed SAS and Customs with gold hardware in Trans White about 14-15 years ago. I'm not sure if they were the NAMM guitars that year or not, but I saw a dozen or so of them at the factory when I was visiting a friend out there. They looked pretty cool, but the flame doesn't really pop out. It had more of a rippled effect...

cmatthes Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I forgot about that McInturff. If I recall, it was done for Marshall Crenshaw (??). That "White Tiger" is much cooler than the ones I saw. They double stained that top, so it definitely shows the grain better. Very cool, actually.
