Jakeboy Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I don't dream much while sleeping, or least I rarely remember them....but last night I dreamed of Ultimates.I dreamed that Mike posted pics of the Magnificient Seven in one group shot with their initial finish on ( not clear coated or buffed, just paint/ stain). Since I am 0006 my excitement level is at obviously a fever-pitch level! 0006 looked awesome BTW. I am certain the reality will surpass the fantasy!!!!This is such a great ride!

My dream guitar right there! LOVE Oceanburst!!!!! Only improvemt would be a little fade to natural maple in the middle...kinda like beach burst. Think Jaws in The Book. Oceanburst rules!

Steve Haynie Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 It depends on the color scheme of the natural back/sides and the colored top. There have been some that look nice. Some do not. Most of the time my preference is for the back to have a complimentary finish with the back. Cherry back and sides with a sunburst. Blue back and sides with a blue/blueburst. Green back and sides with green. A solid black face with natural back and sides looks OK to me, but I would still prefer black all over.

I think I sent mine at about 10:15 Central, and I'm #0037. I'd guess the first 12 spots were spoken for in a couple of hours.
