HamStd Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 That pricing isn't unrealistic - a bit high if just a black Cali Elite, but not out of the realm of sanity. If it was a dot board (Cali Standard), than I'll assume he'll be keeping it forever at that price.I agree I don't think the price is out of line for an Elite. I didn't see the guitar and it sounds like there are no papers on it, but given that it could very likely be the Black cali she is using in that "Hungry" video (I know it might be overshadowed by the Impact guitar and Lita rolling around in a pool of water) but given she seems to have done well hanging on to her Hamer toys-compared to a lot of other "Hamer users" if you are fan of the model and Lita it might be a nice grab or should I say "tug" so to speak.Peter
Toadroller Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 In no position to buy, but are you referring to Juicy Lucy? - Austin Juicy Lucy is an Impact A what??? Wow, that's just mind-blowing. I never conceived of an Impact guitar. Yes.
mc2 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 There should be another Hamer Book....just with the custom and one-off artists builds and other cool ones. A coffee table book, limited edition with a wood veneer cover and fold out little legs They should have done it years ago for dealers to show prospective buyers to get the drool flowing.

Now THAT is a great idea. There must be so many one-off customs to chose from. It would be a great book! (for Hamer lovers)
dhuber Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Excuse my ignorance. Is there only one "Juicy Lucy" or did Hamer make a run of these. $1800 seems awful cheap if there was only one made and it was played by a prominent guitar artist.
Ting Ho Dung Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Okay. So there is no confusion, this is the Cali Lita owned and signed in May. The dude has pictures with her, the guitar, and him. He says he knows her by way of a mutual friend and sees her several times a year. If interested, I have his info but was getting ready to throw away his card when I saw it last on the kitchen table.
DBraz Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I know this would upset some but the first thing I'd do is remove the signature. Lovely guitar though.
Studio Custom Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Removing the signature halves it value to that of a generic Cali. In reality this guy needs a COA in addition to the guitar to get top dollar.

Armitage Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Sigs many times lowers the value of a guitar unless it's someone special.
mc2 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Sigs many times lowers the value of a guitar unless it's someone special.[...and if you were sitting in Lita's living room on a date, you would add:](Cough, cough)..."and of course, YOUR's is one of those that increases the value. Can you write it a little larger for me and maybe also sign the rear electronics cover and also initial the truss rod cover as well?"
Armitage Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I'll sign any guitar I sell for only $500 more.... and for $750 more, I'll wipe it back off.
