JonO Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 No affiliation. Nice looking Special FM. And TME is a great shop to visit if you're ever in the Boston area! https://themusicemporium.com/products/hamer-special-used-1993
topekatj Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 It appears that someone bought the guitar (not me) while I was viewing the listing
JonO Posted July 1, 2022 Author Posted July 1, 2022 Dang, that went pretty quick! My first 'real' electric guitar was a '95 Special FM, bought new in '97. Great guitar that I should have just kept.
DaveL Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Cool store. The wierd thing. It’s in a strip mall but you walk in and it’s kind of classy with couches and wood paneling and all upscale guitars Funny it’s in a strip mall but real estate is at a premium in Lexington. I usually hit Wilson farms too. Killer farm stand.
crunchee Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Very cool guitar (I had one years ago), the main reason that keeps me from shopping for one is that I remember what they used to sell for 20 years ago in nice used condition, and my wallet refuses to open.

Same. My old ‘95 Special FM was a beast of a guitar with an absolutely killer top. Bought and sold it for $500… 🤦🏻♂️

Whoever got this one will be very happy, Orange Guitars do sound better, it's been proven by Sciences. [Probably, somewhere]
tweed Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Y'know, every time I do a little research on something that interests me, I lose out. I emailed TME when this first posted, never got a response. I should have just called direct !
tomteriffic Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 My first Hamer was a 94 FM. Bought new for under a grand from a store that was notoriously inflexible with their pricing. Still have it. It's still my go-to for when I need "something with humbuckers".

Because that's the only rational explanation... 😉 I let a '56 Les Paul Gold Top slip through my fingers over a few hundred dollars in price back in the day; it could be worse, trust me.
