jisham Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 After much thinking, I've decided it's time to unload all my gear. First up is my custom-ordered Lucky Dog Evangelist "E" Type. For anyone who doesn't know, Lucky Dogs are custom made in Tennessee by Anthony Sims, who currently has a wait list of more than two years; everything is made by hand so rest assured this isn't a kit guitar. Anthony told me this Esquire is only one of three he's ever made. It's only been played in my smoke-free home and kicks all kinds of ass IMO. It has a four-way switch -- 1. Full-on pickup with no volume/no tone; 2. Volume only; 3. Volume and tone 4. Eldred mod (gives sort of a cocked wah sound). I opted for the high-end Access gig bag over a hardshell case. SOLD SPECS 7.2 lbs. Alder body finished in powder blue Relic finish Extreme grade flame neck / C shape Aged hardware Kluson locking tuners Lucky Dog handwound pickup w/Eldred mod Access gig bag
kizanski Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 Damn... That could pull me out of retirement. @MCChris, please intervene!

Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 I'm sorry to hear you're hanging it up
Dutchman Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 You can never hang it up! It will call you like a siren in the night!! Come stroke me, play with me, plug me in. I've tried...might be a different one... but they call you back to the sounds of their voice!!! PS Sweet Guitar GLWTS!
Jakeboy Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Save a couple choice guitars and amps. You’ll be glad you did. You might start recording or going to an occasional jam in a year or so…l

But it never happened and having just gone through a major health scare, I simply realized it's time to move on to other things. I'll keep an acoustic though.

Sorry to hear that Jaye - hope everything is okay!
hamerhead Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Those health scares do tend to change your direction. I hope yours works out for the best. F**king GREAT guitar, BTW. Looks like an absolute screamer.
Steve Haynie Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 I hope you are keeping an electric-acoustic. You never know when you will need to grab some feedback in the middle of a finger picking frenzy.
