Ok next up a bunch of Tele Parts. I love Telecasters, but I have what I need. So like the rest of my FS post I’m just cutting things loose, and letting go. 2 MIJ Allparts Tele Necks. 21 Fret C shape (Medium C) slightly bigger than the 80’s reissue necks, more close to the mid later 90’s on. Both necks are the same shape/carve. I purchased them through Doom Bloom, where they were aged and shipped to me for a hefty sum of $300 each. every pickguard that I have that will fit 21 fret Telecasters. Also all the hardware off of a 1986 Telecaster Reissue that I had stashed away. His name is Rick NELSON and he played them HAMMER gittars for a looooong time. I have never seen them. I just did a search and it seems they have not played a public show here in Stockholm since 1979. According to @crunchee's list above they did a tv broadcast here on october 22nd 1990 in support for the Busted album. I wish I had been there. 😞 They are a band that I still would love to see live.

I got bad news for a lot of you guys. Back when we did the first of the Chicago/ Paul Hamer events, I won the award for youngest member in attendance. Since then I passed over the hill and I can see 50 from where I’m standing. I didn't’ see CT for the first time until 96/97 because well, I was finally old enough to drive myself to the venue. LOL 😂

I'd would love to be able to take this test. Please send me a five neck guitar in the next 5 years so once I reach 70 I can take the test.... If I fail I hope I prop it up and play the top guitar instead.... 😀

I have one of those. Came from 7 0124. Base plate appears to be pickguard material. Been in the drawer for years. If you are interested let me know and I'll dig it out and get measurements.

Nope. Last one went on my Shishkov. And the MannMade bridges are really close to what I did, so I think whatever issue being had would be the same. It's kinda hard to tell from the picture exactly what's going on. Is it spacing? The string spacing is a bit all over the board, depending on where the bridge was made. Not a huge difference between them, but they did vary. Mounting holes? Dave's fix nailed it. But if the mounting holes line up, it should work. Put it on and try it. The string-through-the-body holes don't have to align perfectly for the bridge to work. The bridge on my '81 Special had .025" difference (about 1/8" overall) between the string-through holes and the intonation screw holes, effectively mis-aligning the saddles. Worked fine. We need more info.

From "The Hamer Fan Club" (link: https://www.hamerfanclub.com/494-2/ ) : The earliest Sunbursts such as the 1978 example shown above have a bridge raised on a rosewood or ebony shim. The spacing of the strings is wider with this style of bridge so the string ferules at the back of the guitar are further apart than on later guitars. The photo below shows an early bridge and wooden-shim. You may have to go this route. A Strat hardtail bridge plate and shim might get you there (I've never tried it).

X3… I have been using Weller 40 watters on my amps and guitars for years. Iron, holder, and a sponge. It just works well.

I think the MannMade bridge could fit, but it would require drilling , dowelling and redrilling the holes for the mounting screws (assuming they don't currently line up) plus enlarging string channel openings on the top of the guitar. Permanent modificiations, but they would be hidden under the bridge plate. You'd also need to check carefully to make sure the neck angle is within the adjustment range of the bridge saddles. If not, you could still make it work by shimming or grinding down the base plate. Note that I've never done this, so check everything carefully before proceeding if you're considering it.

It is at least time for him to no longer attempt to play the 5 neck. That made me embarrassed for him. He is a rocker who loves to rock. Time to stick to single necks. Ugh. That hurt me to watch him struggle like that.

I saw them for both Tokyo shows in 1999, back when I was stationed in Japan with the US Navy. Good shows both, the second venue (Sun Plaza, Tokyo) had a fantastic sound system, everything sounded great and loud, plus it was dialed in to where it was actually enjoyable to be there, my ears didn't ring the next day like they did after the Shibuya Kokeido a couple of days before...and no, I wasn't wearing earplugs. Plus, Rick went out on one of the lobby balconies before the Sun Plaza show and made it rain guitar picks! I used to run spot / setup for acts when I was in college. We were on CT's regular touring circuit along with Molly Hatchet, .38 Special, etc. The stage was always in the "old" fieldhouse against this wall: I would be stationed with a Strong Supertrooper on a riser upstairs opposite the stage (up the bleacher stairs to the right of this photo). They always put on a great show, but the guitar show backstage was always my favorite part. Outside of a (large) music store, I'd never seen so many guitars at one time. He had this new brand I'd only ever seen in magazines. Hammer? Hamer? 😉
