That guitar (#0221) is the reason I placed my first Custom Order for a Standard with Dave Kenney back in 1990. I had them hold the guitar ($250 on a card) and sent the rest either by USPS money order or a check, I forget which. When my payment arrived 2 days later, it had been sold, so Dave called me and we worked out a custom order for a non-catalog Standard. He was selling that guitar with a set of PAFs or with DiMarzios put back into it for cheaper. If I can dig up that ad, I'll send it to you, but he did state that he got it from Charlie or Charlie's tech directly back then.

I think you meant the G2410TG, which is from the lower-end "Streamliner" series. Those sell new for under $600, and there are plenty of great used deals out there if you're looking. I think they stopped making that model a few years back. They're not bad for what they are, but personally, I'd upgrade to the Synchromatic series.

Would have met you over there! They also have a green and a red trans Diablo, both nice, and a lefty Cali Elite. They had an Indigo Monaco Elite there for the last couple of months - a bit on the heavy side though. Not sure if it sold in the last week or so.

He probably wasn't thrilled that the BBC made them mime to the track either!

My son was going back and forth between a new Chinese-built Electromatic and an older Korean one. In the end, and after trying dozens of new and like new used ones, he opted for the MIK model. It's a fantastic guitar, and if he decides he wants to upgrade it, I've got a few sets of TVJs around that he can toss in there. He's happy!

I saw the band live on their 1992 "Break Like The Wind" Tour. I honestly found the live experience to be almost as funny, if not more so, than "This Is Spinäl Täp", which has been one of my Top 3 movies since 1984. So many obscure sight gags, and the show was so well done. Those guys have so much raw talent.

I saw it on Wednesday with the family and we all enjoyed it. Seeing it again with our neighbors tonight...

Elduave and I were about halfway to Port Chester when we got the word that the show was postponed, so we turned around on the NJTP and headed back to the DC Metro. We had sort of figured that might happen since the Foxwoods show got shut down the night before. Still looks like a lot of fun, but I can't make it on Wednesday!
