  1. That’s very much typical for a ‘77-early ‘78 Burst. They figured out how to spray a burst by ‘79…
  2. From a guy who was a Hamer Fan (and sold ‘em too!) before there was an HFC… If you’re not on FB, I can assist with his contact info, but this is a great deal.
  3. I had to navigate a timid marketing manager through DuPont Circle two days ago to get to a happy hour down New Hampshire Ave. During rush hour…
  4. Yes indeed. Ric was behind the kit on that tour. There was an explosion at the end of the Philly show, however…
  5. THIS is well past the point of hanging it up.
  6. Scammer. He had blocked all of the page admins, so I had to go in through a separate page to see it. Reported, Blocked and Deleted. He’s also using pics from a store in PA and one in Portland, OR on the fake page. This is why we can’t have nice things…
  7. I first saw Spinal Tap live at the Tower in Philly in the Summer of ‘92. The Folksmen opened. Easily a Top-10 concert for me. My sides hurt the next day, it was that funny. But, these guys are serious and can REALLY play like a seasoned touring band.
  8. Well…it WAS, before the refret. That one was at Kim’s desk for a while in New Hartford.
  9. It’s just where they all go…along with the original Hamer “Posi-Grip” knobs from the 80s.
  10. First of all, THAT ISN’T A MARBLE FINISH! The Marble was a Jim O’Connor custom job, and was a fairly expensive upgrade, and is very desirable. THAT is the stock “B/W Granite” finish, which was not an upcharge and is only a lukewarm desirability rating.
  11. DiMarzio has 25% off everything. Use the code “GIFTS” at checkout.
  12. Sure looks like it! The description says it is “wax potted”…Whut?!
  13. I love these. Spent a lot of time over the last weekend cranking them!
  14. He was too busy filming silly demo videos.
  15. Is Jack playing his old Hamer or is that one of his Atomic copies?
  16. Your potentiometer was made by CTS Corporation (Chicago Telephone Supply) in the 34th week of 1994
  17. I was just at the Gibson Garage yesterday, and asked if they were ever going to do factory tours again. One gal didn’t have a clue, one guy said he just started working there, and a third guy (over in the Epiphone section) said he doesn’t think so, since so many people just like to shop there and buy/order a new Gibson (or Epiphone, or Kramer). 🤔 I personally think they’re really missing the boat…walking around there just felt like being in a well-kept, highly stocked GC. The whole point of doing tours is to let people see the way things are made and that honestly gets most people more fired up and more likely to buy something.
