You do realize that when a new owner takes possession, after you sell it or even give it away, they can do what they want to with it?

I expect he will catch some crap for that part, from wheelchair users and their advocates. I don't remember who it was and therefore can't give credit for the quote, but it was memorable enough that I have remembered for a long time: "I'm not confined to a wheelchair. Confined is what I would be if I didn't have a wheelchair."

Nine out, two and a half in over the past six weeks or so. Not a bad ratio, but hard to keep up because it was all low-hanging fruit. Sold 5 great condition non-Hamers, and donated 4 not-worth-muches in good condition to a local charitable make-those-kids-play-guitar effort. All the Hamers still here, plus a new-to-me 12ver Eclipse. On the lookout for a Duotone, but I guess I have competition on that front 'round these here parts. A nice Les Paul Standard 50's is the other part of the two. The half is a Fender baritone conversion neck to attach to a nice lightweight Tele-type body I had lying around, so now they are joined together and I am in the very slow process of trying to set it up. The slimming down and refocusing also entails a Boss WAZA reactive amp expander that will not only let me attenuate my tube amps (and therefore let me get the most out of them that I can, considering the neighbors) but will also be a way to hear whatever modeler I end up with, without resorting to headphones. The drought was lengthy, but now things are greening up. -
RIP Michael and condolences to you on the loss of your friend. Nashville has a lot going for it.

Specials with stripes - prices

That's a great-looking graphic, with the kind of wear you'd expect to see, but it looks a lot less faded/yellowed than a lot of them. Most of the hardware has been changed - tuners, pickups, knobs - but it looks like it still sports the long switch tip, if you've been looking for one. I agree that the price seems unconnected to current reality, but I looked for quite a while for mine and had to pay over the odds as compared to a non-graphic Special of similar vintage. If the selling prices get anywhere near that, I might persuade myself to let mine go. -

I started listening to a capture of the entire first show. After Xanadu I was excited and interested to see online complaints of the plummet in ticket resale prices after the extra shows were added, thinking I might make an attempt to go after all. Then I heard Geddy croak out Limelight and now I think I will remain satisfied with the four tours I caught in the 80's. It's normal and natural for singers to lose their fastball, so to speak, but they have plenty of other fans to fill the seats. More power (windows) to them.

Raising a question I don't have the answer to - if the control cavity is shielded for noise suppression, would that also suppress the smart tag communication signal? I'm also in the don't trust the movers camp. Computers, guns and guitars travelled with me while I sent furniture, sheets and clothes, pots and pans in the moving truck.
