  1. I've done it to a bunch of guitars, with varying degrees of success. Sometimes you luck on the perfect match, other times you should have left well enough alone. Its always a fun adventure though, I'm sure I'll do it again.
  2. That ain't cheap, that there is genuine yankee ingenuity. rock on.
  3. That was bad assery right there, loved it.
  4. Looks alright, can't hold a candle to http://sugarmegs.org/ Don't let the home page distract you, there is much, much more than GD and related bands here. Also really like http://archive.org/browse.php?collection=etree&field=%2Fmetadata%2Fcreator
  5. This one showed up on TGP today, pricey, but looks nice. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=1486835
  6. She's a looker! Have fun with it while it lasts.
  7. Show off, I'd claim dibs, but I know the line is already around the corner. Great score Mitch, apparently good things do come to those who wait.
  8. Thank god its a black back or I would be in financial trouble. I can't say why, and I know its irrational, but I hate black back guitars., regardless of how pretty the front may be.
  9. I'd love to have a go at the blue korina Custom Hollow, especially with a set of Filtertrons, let me know if you do something with it. I was going to have Ryan wind me up a set, but I've really been wanting to try out Jame's pickups over at ReWind, and this seems like a perfect opportunity for that, so they are on order.
  10. To be honest I've had a few NGDs that I haven't bothered posting about, but this one deserves it. I have half-heartedly kept my eye out for one of these used for a while now, and when this one popped up on Reverb I jumped. The seller didn't necessarily know what he had, as he thought it was a 2010 with Gadow HBs, and a 1 11/16" nut, unlike the earlier ones that came with SDs and a 1 3/4" nut. However, this is indeed an earlier one, and while I might have shied away had I known it had the wider nut, now that I have it, I LOVE it! Nice string spacing helps keep my fat tipped fingers from muting adjacent strings, super fun to play fingerstyle on, it feels like my Martin OM. Very resonant, sounds very nice acoustically, the 25.5" scale giving it a nice snap to it, also helps the chords ring out a bit more. The pickups are SD Jazz/59 combo with coil tapping, with apologies to his fans, SDs have never done it for me, and so I am going to take the opportunity to try out a set of ReWind pickups, which I have wanted to do for a while anyway, so a set is on order. Fit and finish is great, possibly even sprayed by Stike for all I know. Anyway, if you ever get a chance to get your hands on one of these US made guitars, do so. Sorry about the blurry pics, couldn't find the tri-pod. I'll have to take better ones soon.
  11. Yeah, but if Gibson made it there would be a bunch of Firewire ports that no one would ever use.
  12. I notice the seller is from Washington State, seems as though someone has been taking advantage of their lax marijuana laws to me.
  13. Stunning, and I'll take the blue one off your hands anytime you want.
  14. Like it never happened, masterful.
  15. Out with a big bang! That is beautiful. And 6.6 lbs? Absolutely killer.
  16. Jeez, that's horrible news. Good luck to everyone in their new adventures, hope it all plays out well.
  17. Add me to the list that was always impressed with their acoustics and had no idea they made and electric. That guitar is all sorts of bad ass. rock on.
  18. I've got a Coyote Cabs Alpha Pup 1x12 slant front cab loaded with a 16 Ohm red ToneTubby, can run as open or closed back. Black with black cloth and white piping. I can send some pics tonight. Great sounding cab, just don't have much need for it lately.
  19. Have you tried changing it back to 4 high or 2wd by going into reverse when trying to switch? Back in my jeeping dayz this was a trick we would use to unstick the transfer case.
  20. We got a little under a foot, so far. Snowblower drowns out the tunes. But, during the day I listened to Gov't Mule's Shout!, disc 2 with all of the guest vocalists, and disc 1 of WILCO's Being There. Couldn't crank the tunes all day, had to let the kids watch some TV.
  21. This one just posted over at MLP for the low price of $600, Go get em boys, http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/member-classifieds/287922-fs-1995-hamer-special-fm.html
  22. Keep it under a grand with quality hardware and electronics and I'll get in line for one.
