cynic Posted September 6 Posted September 6 I wouldn't have believed it, but this photo from his facebook (and the one posted above by @dgstandard) seem to show the guitar in the same condition it's in today. Appears the owner is "Tommy Gunn" of Piper and there are photos allegedly from 1976 showing the guitar in its current state on his facebook. 10 2 Quote
veatch Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Wow. As in the Piper with Billy Squire on vocals... 7 Quote
velorush Posted September 6 Posted September 6 (edited) Google Image attributed it to McCartney's guitarist, Jimmy McCulloch Quote AI Overview This image appears to show Scottish guitarist Jimmy McCulloch, best known for his work with Paul McCartney and Wings, performing live on stage with an electric guitar. That said, it first highlighted the guitar and told me it was Lita Ford! 😄 I found zero photos of Jimmy McCulloch with that guitar. Edited September 6 by velorush Quote
hamerhead Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Piper. Saw them open for 'Angel' at a small theater in Madison mid-'70s. They killed it. Don't remember the guitar. 6 Quote

The Orpheum show was 3/14/77 so he likely owned it by then. This was allegedly taken at the Palladium the following month. Edited September 6 by cynic 4 1 Quote

The Shark Posted Tuesday at 01:48 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:48 PM I PM'd him on Facebook to see if he has any live Piper recordings. I'm not finding much of anything. I bought both of their albums via Columbia House back in the seventies. They are in storage.....forever. 3 Quote

As good as he was, his stage moves were a bit.......different. YT videos of earlier shows - when he's not playing guitar - are cringe-worthy. Speaking of guitar, he was a lot better than given credit for. 3 1 Quote

His first album came out when I was 17 or 18. I think. Quote
