elduave Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Makes no difference. People are going to post what they want, whenever they want, and nothing will be done about it. I will now report my self to the mods.

cmatthes Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 (sigh) There is just no way to make some people happy...Poll or no poll, the separate "For Sale" board is here to stay. Does it present a problem or something? Just curious.
DavidE Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I didn't like the idea of a separate for sale board, but in practice I like it.
atquinn Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Is there anything preventing people from posting for sale ads on the regular board? Is this actually policed and enforced? Anyway, I like having them separate. It makes it easier to find all the for-sale stuff. -Austin
Brewmaster Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Anyway, I like having them separate. It makes it easier to find all the for-sale stuff. -Austin I agree. It also keeps your items on the front page longer so there is no need to bump 5 times or more a day. You know the saying, "out of sight out of mind". It also helped me sell a couple of items much faster and enabled me ( double meaning intended ) to buy a Standard from Bruce919.
kurtsstuff Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I like the "new" way.......like it was said before..ya don't have to "bump" it every 30 seconds and you don't have to scroll through a million post's...
Hamer95USA Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Hello Hamer buyer & sellers, Anyway, I like having them separate. It makes it easier to find all the for-sale stuff. I agree with Austin and the other guys. The for sale board allows me to check out the items our fellow fan club members are selling. Very convenient. If the guys want to post on the main message board, they can too. It makes a lot of sense to post on the for sale board though. Guitar George
jerseydrew Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Keep it seperate. It's easier to see what's for sale. At this time, the poll is 80% to keep it. I guess the vote is in
DaveL Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I like the "new" way.......like it was said before..ya don't have to "bump" it every 30 seconds and you don't have to scroll through a million post's... I feel exactly the same way, I always felt goofy about having to bump my own ads, half the time I just said screw it and threw it on ebay... I've also noticed, and maybe I'm imagining it, but since this place is specifically for "for sale" ads that nobody yaps about someone placing for sale ads when they don't contribute all that much. Me, I don't care who posts for sale because you never know, some newbie may have something REALLY COOL and then they'll probably stick around any way.
tafkathundernotes Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I like it the way it is now. I got tired of ads getting buried and having to bump them all the friggin' time. Just relax - you'll get used to it.

Does it present a problem or something? Just curious. SirDan's just an asshole. Ask the salespeople at Chicago Music Exchange. As with any type of change, you get used to it.
cmatthes Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 MCC:That is SO true. SirDan and I have been at war from way back!
black magic Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 I also like the separate sections, much easier to find For Sale items. Jack.
md2020 Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Question: for those who voted "old way", have you tried the "View New Posts" link up near the top of the page near "My Controls"?You get a cross-board listing. Give it a whirl.
