Here's your tutorial on how the warrior wielding this weapon dresses for battle.

I remember looking at those catalogs in the 80s. I actually had two DC150s and a 1/2 stack.

Yeah, but did you have the leather pants and that hair?

Craig Chaquico was a phenomenal guitarist, but all that talent was wasted in that shitty band the shittiest band EVER .

I gotta say I never liked the V220's. Always looked wrong to me.

BUT! Found this in a G/C for about $100.00 less than the standard HFC price, and Ive really learned to like it.

One hellova nice playing guitar for when I want to re-visit the 80's.

I also prefer the old Gibson V style headstock vs the newer BC Rich-lookin thing.

I wanted one of those Carvins back in high school. Craig Chaquico played a quilted maple version when I saw Jefferson Starship in 1983 or 1984 on the Winds Of Change tour.

They were okay until they dropped the "Jefferson" part of their name. "Jane," "Find Your Way Back," etc. are some pretty potent rockers.

As Starship they were booked at a 2,000-seater on the MSU campus during the Knee Deep In the Hoopla tour. I was the entertainment editor of the college paper at the time and when the show got cancelled, I called the promoter to find out why. She told me that fewer than 10 tickets had been sold.

I had more experience w/ the bass (V-440, IIRC) but both the guitar and the bass seemed to be phenomenally balanced and ergonomic for a pointy instrument...or so it seemed at the time.

Ouch, ten tickets. Kinda reminds me off most of my shows!

"The gig in East Lansing is cancelled. I wouldn't worry about it. It's not a big college town."

Couldn't agree more. After that, the soul and anything musically redeemning somehow got sucked out of them!

I had a black one with a Kahler on it back in the early 90 or 91, paid $300 for it at a pawn shop and it was almost new. Very fast neck with a super low action. Traded it for another guitar...

Respectfully disagree: They were fantastic until they dropped the "Airplane" part of their name.

But as to the guitar, it doesn't float my boat.

Headstock is extremely ugly. Body is cool.

That's why I said "okay." The AOR sound of the Jefferson Starship absolutely pales in comparison to the Jefferson Airplane stuff, but I like the tunes I mentioned above, especially the guitar tones. So, they went from "fantastic" to "okay" to "total crap" LOL.

So can I assume you are a fellow MSU alumnus ? I often wondered if you had been in that area for any length of time given your frequent references to Elderly Music. I myself have fond memories of that frozen tundra from '75 to '79.
