unfun 75 Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 On the Willcutt site today. No affiliation with seller, in fact, have never even bought from said dealer.
formula73 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Holy CRAP!!!!!!! That thing just made my head explode. It's a good thing I planned on typing this before I lost my brain or else I wouldn't*death*
BubbaVO Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 That's dirty....like Paul Reubens dirrrrrrrty....
MCChris Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Inverted victories would be cool on that, mimicking the lines of the body.Surprised Jol didn't think of that LOL!
Crwth145 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Inverted victories would be cool on that, mimicking the lines of the body... How funny, that's the one thing that popped into my head, though they're workin' well enough as they are...
jisham Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Bad ass but I sure wish Hamer would go back to uncovered zebras for everything. Covered pups in Hamers just ain't right IMO...
ceeb Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I hate to say it, but is this fair to all the other dealers on the board? Something to consider?
MCChris Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I hate to say it, but is this fair to all the other dealers on the board? Something to consider?Explain.
jisham Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I hate to say it, but is this fair to all the other dealers on the board? Something to consider?Wasn't posted by the dealer in question, so I see no problem personally.
ceeb Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I hate to say it, but is this fair to all the other dealers on the board? Something to consider?Explain.Sure. What's to stop me or others posting pics of stuff for sale at other dealers sites. Of course I would post it strictly in the interest of posting pR0n, that just happens to be for sale at my favorite dealers site.
MCChris Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Sure. What's to stop me or others posting pics of stuff for sale at other dealers sites. Of course I would post it strictly in the interest of posting pR0n, that just happens to be for sale at my favorite dealers site. That must be the premise behind the "not affiliated with the seller in any way" disclaimer I often see on threads like these.I find it interesting that Willcutt has no direct involvement here, yet they're consistently the No. 1 Hamer dealer in the US.I also find it fatiguing to be constantly walking on eggshells around here because of the dealers, the number of which can be counted on one hand with a finger or two left over. But, in the interest of fair play and also the fact that this guitar is for sale, off to the FS board it goes.
Thundersteel Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 They need to ditch the pickguard, though. Why cover up that nice wood with a piece of ugly plastic?
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I actually prefer the Vectors with a pickguard. I know Kilroy was bummed when his Purpleburst Vector showed up with a pickguard, but it really looks great that way.
kizanski Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I actually prefer the Vectors with a pickguard. I know Kilroy was bummed when his Purpleburst Vector showed up with a pickguard, but it really looks great that way.Absolutely. And not only that, it matches the purple Junior and Standard.Vees are supposed to have pickguards. It's the law.

Vees are supposed to have pickguards. It's the law. Is that a "State Law" there Donnie..... LOL You have an option of putting clear guard's don't you? If I ordered a Vector today I would order one with a pickguard PERIOD !
unfun 75 Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 I'd like to see what boomers look like on this guitar, also as Jaye mentioned, I'd like to see zebras. Pretty sweet f'n guitar, though, as is. Props to Hamer.
Rocktuna Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Not to rain on the oooos and ahhhhhs but I think that guitar looks like crap. Why would you ruin a beautiful piece of flame maple by staining it BLACK

jisham Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Not to rain on the oooos and ahhhhhs but I think that guitar looks like crap. Why would you ruin a beautiful piece of flame maple by staining it BLACKBecause it looks bad ass.
veatch Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Not to rain on the oooos and ahhhhhs but I think that guitar looks like crap. Why would you ruin a beautiful piece of flame maple by staining it BLACK If done right, it looks great. The V looks fine, but that's just my opinion. Mindseye's studio looks great. If not done right, you totally lose the flame. Here's an example of one done poorly: More than 10 feet away, you'd never know it was a flame top. :/
