burningyen Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 I ran the racks at my local stores before I found this one, a MIM Muddy Waters:
Feynman Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Come now, surely there are many more 'teles' among us...
mc2 Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Kubicki 81 neck on an 80s double-bound Chandler Thinline Body w/o f hole Fender Jorgenson Aluminum Tele (body AND aluminum neck) mostly from parts I got from friends at Fender Hamer Esquire, TLE and T51 Three longscale TLEs
pesocaster Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Rio loaded Warmoth Tele my current #1.... One I had for a while..... Screaming Yellow Meanie (Back living with BruceM)
bondedbybrick Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 1992 USA Peavey Generation Series 3. Chambered Alder body, flamed maple cap, Bill Lawrence pickups and HAS Sound electronics. A mighty fine, Tele-looking guitar! Just not a Tele.......
stobro Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Here's my T-51. Ash body, dark indigo blue that looks black under all but the most intense light.
santellavision Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Here's a Warmoth Tele that I put together. Kinda' cool.
Sam Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Hey santellavision, is that an uncovered Fralin Blues Special in the neck position? I love the clarity of that pup.
mirrorimij Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 The first two T51 prototypes. Mine (#2 prototype formerly owned by Bill Kaman) is on the right and Dave B from Hamer owns #1 on the left (formerly owned by Frank Untermyer). I believe Dave's was the one used in the Modern Vintage ads.
Disturber Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I've been playing these two all week. That broadcaster pup sounds so good when going into a cranked Super Champ. It has a booth edgy & creamy overdrive that just kicks butt.
cspot Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Does this count? My first "tele" plays fairly good for $100.00!
velorush Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Does this count? My first "tele" plays fairly good for $100.00!Is that an Affinity Tele? Bought my daughter one for her first guitar a couple of years ago - think it was $179 new. I was blown away with the bang for $. Nice solid (three-piece) plank of ash. Only issue on the whole thing was the fret edges were a bit sharp. She doesn't play it - I've been considering getting it out and tweaking it a bit - pickups, through-body stringing, maybe a Warmoth neck...

Bought it used with the intention of fixing it up too. One day....
jerseydrew Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Here's a few RS Guitarworks Teles. Here's a (left to right), Suhr, Fender RI Thinline, RS Esquire, and RS Tele Here's a Lentz and a Suhr. I have neither of them anymore. Here are two Nash's and an RS again (fiesta red)
Jorge Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 The ones I have now: Baja Telecaster Tex-Mex Telecaster And here, fondling my new Road Worn Telecaster (awesome!)
velorush Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Here's a (left to right), Suhr, Fender RI Thinline, RS Esquire, and RS Tele Is that an honest to goodness fiesta red Farter?
Jeff R Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Here's my telebastard I threw together about three years ago out of pieces bought on clearance or salvaged from parts bins. Mostly Allparts stuff, hosting a pair of Rio Muy Grandes. One phatass tele... Sold this MIK Tele Esquire GT about a year ago. Now this was a fun guitar to play.
jerseydrew Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Here's a (left to right), Suhr, Fender RI Thinline, RS Esquire, and RS Tele Is that an honest to goodness fiesta red Farter? Yep, it's a Farter
Feynman Posted July 24, 2009 Author Posted July 24, 2009 I am not JL's biggest fan by any means (though I do like some of his stuff), but he has a bitchin' Tele.
Bloozguy Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 You just can’t ever have enough Teles! My twang gang: 1982 Fender (Japan) Pink Paisley Telecaster Reissue; 1996 Hamer T-51; 1987 Hamer TLE (short scale); 2008 Kevin Schwab Custom Telecaster (USA Custom Guitars mahogany body, Warmoth maple/rosewood neck, Duncan Mini Humbucker and Five-Two pickups); 1999 Bill Schwab Custom B-Bender Telecaster (Warmoth flame maple over swamp ash body, Warmoth flame maple neck with ebony board, Glaser B-Bender, Hipshot D-Tuner, Duncan Little ’59, Hot Stack, and Hot Tele pickups. All I need now is a Thinline of some sort
carfish7 Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Since we are playing fast and loose with the "Tele" designation, I'll toss mine into the fray. All Schecter, all the time around here. I love the true tapped single-coils in the matte red one. You get a "hot" overwound option and can pull up the tone knob for very authentic vintage tones as well. The hummers tap very well, too, and the Duncan "Screamin' Demon" in the red one sounds perfect split. These guitars are sleepers of the highest order, and I'd put them up against anything being built today. Z
