Nitebob Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 That photo of me was taken in 1979. The 1979 Hamer Sunburst was brand new. I was the best one out of the first 20 I ordered from Hamer when I was working at a guitar shop on 48th street, I was 28 years old at the time. I sent that picture to Greg because he is selling the guitar for me. I am the original owner. I sold over 200 Hamers while I was working at the shop, and playing 4 nights a week. nitebob
BCR Greg Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 I dropped it, so now it's busted to hell. Sorry.Just kidding, it's fine.
Nitebob Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Greg went to Norway with me to do a show with the NY Dolls. He did an amazing job taking care of ALL the guitars and basses. Next time bring your Wellies! He also played "Superstition" at soundcheck, stowed and carried Hubert Sumlin's guitar on the plane back to NYC. If Greg works on your guitar, you are one lucky guy. And, he called Chris Matthes, and had him bring a bass amp for the Dolls to use at teh 9:30 Club in DC.Greg, you rock!
darc Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Ha ha ha the picture at the board looks like Robert Fripp at a King Crimson concert!
