When the guitar didn't sell on the forums last fall, I dropped it off at Ludlow Guitars here in NYC. They were curious about it, so I told them about my background and how the guitar was made. I also showed them my website, with the demos of me playing Steely Dan tunes. They told me the guitar was right up their owner's alley in terms of design. Always nice to get that kind of encouragement!

A month or so later, they called to tell me the guitar had sold and that I should come pick up the check. When I got there, they told me that Walter Becker was a regular at the store, that he asked about the guitar and they showed him my demos, and he bought it! I was on Cloud 9 for months. I reached out to him by e-mail but haven't heard back yet. I know he's been busy touring. Maybe now that the tour's over he'll be able to catch up on his e-mails. Or maybe not, who knows? I'm happy either way. :)

Awesome!

That's so cool! I really like the turquoise one out of this batch. Any progress on those B-90 pickups ;)

Cersei? Really? That vicious psychopath?

LOL, if you knew what I had to go through to get this one across the finish line you'd understand. :) Beautiful, black-hearted, ready to lay waste to the world, likely the last of its kind as I'm making production changes.

Not much to tell yet. I'll be getting bodies and necks from a new source, but that's all I know at the moment. Still feeling out possibilities.

Thanks, Jay! Yeah, I can't bear to throw that T-shirt away, even though it's halfway disintegrated. It reminds me of childhood in the '70s.

Trying a bunch of new things with this one: a roasted maple neck, spoke wheel truss rod adjustment at the heel, a bent maple top, and an inlaid headstock logo. So far, so good.

Cersei just pushes all my buttons. Always enjoy this thread, Ben: lovely idea and execution.
