sirDaniel Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 oh MY! Billy, Billy. Thank goodness that you were able to hve a good prognosis. My first thought was of the HAND!! IMHO, that would've been worse, way worse. and after all the prostate storys, I thought you had already seen the worst.
Rodan Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Cripes! Here's to a quick and complete recovery. Take care.
goldrum Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Missed you at Bruce's last night. Praying for a speedy recovery.Brad
BillW Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 wow...touching....Thanks for the thoughts guys! (oh - and I love the puns ...keep 'em coming...I stopped by work briefly on Friday and they pasted my office with cartoons about chainsaw accidents...hilarious stuff)I am doing much better. Had a secondary infection (they didn't perscribe the ABs long enough it seems...) but everything is under control now . I can almost put weight on it - but I have some time and possible PT before I can walk normally again.I do have pix - they don't really do the wound justice (took them a couple days ago, so it's been 'healing' for a week) - but you'd get the idea. I'll send some to Bruce in case he wants to post them here.thanks again for the kind thoughts, all!!
murkat Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 ^ wow. good for you man! speedy recovery to you! Good to hear you get to keep the Limb... and in one piece! Going to make a picture frame out of that blade for a reminder, keep sake?
shredmeister Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Bill - Best wishes. Chain saws scare the hell out of me. Thank God you didn't cut off any fingers !
BruceM Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Glad to hear you're moving around Bill! And yes, send a few photos. I'll post them. I'll PM my email address to you.
alantig Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 So, what, now you're going to move into hip-hop?Bill - glad to hear it wasn't worse. I use a chainsaw rarely, and I'm a bundle of nerves the entire time. Especially after my uncle had an accident with one (nothing too horrible, but as I recall, there were numerous stitches involved).Alan
hamerjunkie Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Glad to see you are improving......chainsaws show no mercy......I have a friend who was seriously hurt in a saw accident 20+ years ago. He lived, but was never the same afterwards. Keep on healing up.....
BruceM Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 Alright folks. You asked for it, you got it. Here's a photo of Bill's foot, day 5 of healing. This is NOT for the squeamish!!
Jeff R Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Photo(s) no workie on my box but that's fine by me. Glad to hear you're doing okay, Bill. Now keep your hands and fingers away from those power tools. Vonnie and I would hate to make the trek up and one of my all-time jam twin's new nickname is "Lefty."
