LucSulla Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I missed picking this up for $775 shipped literally because I went to take a leak when his counter offer came in and lost it in that two minutes. Someone else took it. I'm sick. I guess it would be a consolation if it was at least one of you that was faster on the draw. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hamer-USA-Studio-Double-Cut-Electric-Guitar-Natural-w-hard-case-gatsso-/171013318996?ViewItem=&ssPageName=ADME%3AX%3ABOCOR%3AUS%3A1123&item=171013318996&nma=true&si=0IADq%252F71qLwXqHM%252FD%252FF4yZc1Y4U%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Toadroller Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 You must snipe. Go big in the last few seconds.
LucSulla Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 I'm a pretty good sniper, but the problem was that It wasn't an auction. It was a BIN or best offer that only listed an hour ago. I sent an offer when it popped up, sat around 30 mins and had to take a leak. While I was taking care of that, he apparently responded to my offer and the other one that was pending, and the other person accepted. That leak probably saved me some money, but damn!
Steve Haynie Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 There were many Studios made. One will come your way one day.
LucSulla Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 True. It's really more missing one for under $800. For whatever reason, that is the magic number in my head.
FrankieIII Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 That one very likely has the bigger neck profile being an '07. Someone got a great deal.
gtone Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Man, you have bathroom troubles - lost a good buy from #1, but your thread title screams #2.
rj2858 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 You may have missed out on that Studio, but I got just whatcha need right here! Never "miss" again
LucSulla Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 Lol, guys, the videos would be more funny if there weren't a shred of truth to it! Trying to find reasons to not work on this dissertation along with having to stop some other bad habits in the last six months has manifested itself into an all new bad habit it would seem.

There will be another time, another bargain, they DO happen. Next time, it might be something even better! But I wouldn't look too hard and long, until after school is complete. I am SO glad that I didn't have the Internet(s) around to distract me when I went through school!

gorch Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 There's always a good reason for a leak at the right time.
sixesandsevens Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 There were many Studios made. One will come your way one day.Steve's got it right there. I've wrung my hands at losing more than a few run of the mill axes myself. I recently missed out on a local sale of a black Artist Mahogany. But in hindsight, you'll find something just as good or better before long...
Steve Haynie Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 We have the good fortune of Hamer guitars being consistent, so waiting it out is an option.
MCChris Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 You probably want a wrap tail anywayThose mid-'90s versions are indeed cool and quirkier than the typical stop-tuna setup, but getting a newer-model Hamer that won't have Hameritis for under 8 bills is a damn good deal IMO.

Punkavenger Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Hameritis never bothered me, I look at it as a quirky part of Hamer history. I'm PROUD of my Hameritis, damn it! Not as enthusiastic about the pizza day fingerprint thing. Thats just not right.
