darius_w Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 A baby on the way and high-stress job means that there's not much time to give this wonderful guitar the time it deserves, but I've procrastinated selling it because it's such a sweet thing. I was at the first HFC factory tour as a college kid and had a great time - unfortunately, I've been out of playing for a long time, and find that when the mood strikes, I reach for an acoustic. All original, if you look very closely you might see a small scratch on the back, but no belt buckle rash. Edit: It's the Aztec Gold finish, since a few people were wondering. $750 + shipping seem reasonable? I'm going to offer it up to the HFC folks first and see if anybody wants it. Also, if anybody's interested I've got a Digitech GNX4 multi-FX pedal. It's a pretty whiz-bang fun device that I'd be happy to let go for $100 + shipping.
MCChris Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I had a stop-tuna version of this once. Yours is cooler:
sixesandsevens Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Beautiful. If only I didn't have one already... Good luck on the sale (edit) and with the baby!!
Montelovesco Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 A beauty! Good luck with the baby (which is more important than any Hamer, by the way, as I can tell). I would take her, but I am running out of space (and my wife out of patience...).
LordOfTheThighs Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 WOW ... great looking piece. I really like that Aztec gold.
rugby1970 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 This is a beautiful guitar at a great price. GLWTS.I have one in natural- they are really nice guitars!
raythewrench Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Sweet Jesus, if my daughter didnt have oral surgery ( copayment 350 hfc approved lol) and getting ripped off by don Henley and company for 335 ( wedding anniv she really wanted tix ) I really dig the eagles , but not digging in my pocket . That would be heading to my house., wrap tail / stop Tati stock or CO? This guitar should be sold , I'm surprised actually.
atquinn Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Studios came stock with the wraptail and bellycut in the mid 90's. That's a really gorgeous example at a good price.-Austin
darius_w Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 I'm in Durham, NC. So depending on what your definition of "near" is, I'm more or less.
MCChris Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 What forms of payment do you accept?Shoulda never sold my wraptail Studio, nor should I have replaced the bridge. Classic case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
darius_w Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 Cash, Cashier's Check, Paypal are probably the simplest, yes? I'm pretty flexible as long as I'm not taking undue risks.
crunchee Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Studios came stock with the wraptail and bellycut in the mid 90's. That's a really gorgeous example at a good price. - Austin +1, really nice specimen! IIRC, this version was made from 1994 through 1996. From what i've seen, Hamer started 1994 with TOM equipped Studios, and ended 1996 with the same, methinks this only gives this version about a two year run, give or take a couple of months. This '95 is right in the middle for production.
ptm1diver Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Thanks, but NC is a little far to drive. Good Luck,
tbonesullivan Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 why is this still for sale? that price is awesome! it's in great shape, great color, great everything. wraptail and gut cut?If I didn't already have a studio that I loved (and like 12 other guitars) I'd be all over this, even though it's YELLOW.
Monacosis Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 just a FYI as i don't know if Darius will post again, but i picked up this one this morning.mike
