It was built for the 2008 NAMM show. Original Hamer case and certificate. I am the original owner and no mods have been done. All my stuff is minty and comes from a smoke-free studio. The top kick-ass and appears 3D. It sounds badass. Dead mint; not a single scratch, dent, scuff, blemish, etc. 10 out of a 10. I bought it new from Willcutts for $2,600. I just got back from the 2014 NAMM show and bonded with Huber's Orca 59, so I'm selling this to help fund a custom order. django49 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 FWIW, I considered myself a Gibson person since forever. Had a very hard time even looking at anything with a longer scale. And the build of Hamers, as well as the great used prices, is a major factor in acquiring way more Hamers than a sane person needs.......About all I can say about the Orca 59 is try one. The look, the feel, the sound. Better than any real Les Paul I ever had my hands on, and that includes an original goldtop (which of course is WORTH far more on the market, just because).The caveat is that a person should not try it unless they have already laid aside the bread to buy it. Seriously.PS.....As much as I like the Orca 59, their Redwood model is more eye opening. (Yes, it is 25 1/2")

But to me, things like Scale length maybe one of the most important things on an LP style guitar. A 24,5" scale lenght sounds and feels similar to a 24,75". So a PRS SC245 for me is an LP alternative. Apart from the sound which IS different on a shorter scale guitar, the feel is different as well. Less string tension.I honestly don't understand, why Nik Huber isn't building the Orca 59 with a genuine 24,75" scale. It's not patented or anything, and the purpose of the model is clear: LP 59 specs.Just my 2ct.

These should be snatched up when they appear at a reasonable price. Dat be da case heah.

My Tally Pro is heavier, its body is thicker and has a mahogany neck (not sure if hog is heavier than maple neck).Tonefiend
