ajm1966 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 looks pretty nice , price is a bit steephttp://www.ebay.com/itm/221556416534?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
BTMN Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 See his Lefty 4 Digit?http://www.ebay.com/itm/HAMER-USA-STANDARD-LEFTY-1980-S-/221556430945?pt=Guitar&hash=item3395cad861
RichRS6 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 The 4 digit Lefty is much more interesting but not if you know what I mean.I'm sure that was posted here when it was sold last time, there can't be too many of them around.
BTMN Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Yes, that guitar has been discussed here before and I have actually held that guitar. Very cool guitar and worth that opening bid for sure. It is very clean. Any Lefty wanting a Standard would be getting a great guitar. I see he has had it converted back to lefty. He had it Righty for a while.
Ting Ho Dung Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 No Stupid Questions!! Great sales pitch.
crunchee Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 No Stupid Questions!! Great sales pitch. Dang. I was gonna ask him what he meant by 'REAR LEFTY HAMER STANDARD'.
Never2Late Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 SO - this is what it has come-to.....Internet Hucksters dumping their horde, "no stupid questions", cash-money hookup, bla-bla-bla. I've seen more courteous customer service in a dimebag drug deal.
atomicwash Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Is a stupid question the same as a dumb question? Everyone knows there are no dumb questions.
diablo175 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Dayummm, that looks sweet bathed in that warm Fla. sun. If that had trapazoids instead of dots, I might be tragically compelled to ignore my inability to get along with short scale guits.
RichRS6 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Hey Diablo, buy his lefty, string it up righty and it'll have the reverse headstock you lust after.
cmatthes Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Is a stupid question the same as a dumb question? Everyone knows there are no dumb questions.Well THAT was a dumb question!
kizanski Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 So, how many of you sent him a "stupid question"? LOL
diablo175 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Hey Diablo, buy his lefty, string it up righty and it'll have the crown inlays and reverse headstock you lust after. Nah, it's still be short scale.
billgelder Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 "NO STUPID QUESTIONS I WILL NOT ANSWER."I have no idea what that means.I call him a couple of days ago about a Hamer Tel custom rear T51....?http://www.ebay.com/itm/HAMER-TEL-CUSTOM-REAR-T51-1986-USA-/221553335466?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=hYsFG2F1S0NyQSq2yBl7BZKZHAE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=ncHe told me "That there guitar be gone already. Somebody done gived me more then I was a asking for it."Hey Thorn doesn't this gentleman live near you?
atomicwash Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 What is a "reasonable" price for this guitar?
crunchee Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 What is a "reasonable" price for this guitar? Tree Fitty, of course! But seriously, probably a grand or so less than the start price. Needs to be bound and crowned too, IMO.
serial Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Actually, neither is way out of line. The sunburst '95 is high, but you're not touching a four digit for less than that price.
crunchee Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Actually, neither is way out of line. The sunburst '95 is high, but you're not touching a four digit for less than that price. I stand corrected...my pricing is still stuck in 2009 mode. Plus, I've been terminally frugal since the Recession hit. Which is why I wasn't even thinking about the 4-digit.
CountFeedback Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 "there are no stupid questions only stupid people"someday I would love to have a plane jane burst standard like that, but yea $2500 to start????

At the risk of disagreeing with The Author, I totally agree with crunchee.
atomicwash Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 "NO STUPID QUESTIONS I WILL NOT ANSWER."Is this a double negative statement meaning stupid questions will be answered?
cynic Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 There have been some buyers I assume are new to the brand that have paid some premium prices over the last twelve months, so I wouldn't be surprised if it sells at that price. I'm more on the side of Crunchee as well, and wouldn't consider anything over $1750 reasonable. When I read the "no stupid questions" thing, I assumed the seller was trying to say "no question too stupid".
a.bandini Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 It looks pretty nice, but I sure wish I could buy a new one at the same or less price! I'd even pay more if it came with a case.
Michael_B Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 There have been some buyers I assume are new to the brand that have paid some premium prices over the last twelve months....New to the brand. I drove the market up on a few items. But, now I know the HFC approved price is tree-fiddy. Now, who's selling a N90?
