Not crapping on your post, but somebody didn't tell you the truth when they sold it to you if they made those claims.The backplate, checkerboard case, WCRs are aftermarket, and not from Hamer.It is SINGLE bound, and is to regular production model spec, not "Triple Bound", which would be a custom upcharge.Schallers, not Sperzels.Switch washer and speed knobs added after it left the factory.It is a VERY cool guitar at a fair price, but we are familiar with that one here.

cmatthes Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Single ply ivoroid binding on the body, fingerboard and headstock was standard on this model, not an upcharge. "Triple bound" was a more expensive custom option which would be 3ply (Ivoroid/Black/Ivoroid) on each surface. That is not what we're talking about here.Agree with Sugartune, but feel that the seller was misled along the way based on the description.As we all know here, the etched plates were done by another HFC member on an aftermarket basis only, not done by Hamer at all.Still a great price, especially with the WCRs added.

Thanks Larsen.As to the authenticity of the "one of six made" quote, I came across the following,"That was a custom blend that we spec'ed a few years back. The guitar is also one of 6 chambered Elites made against Hamer's wishes(at the time, they said that chambering the guitars would make them sound worse....)That color shows up with different names every now and then. cmatthes Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 BCR ordered some chambered Elites before it was a standard option. In order to get that request through, he probably had to order a small run (say, 6) for his customers.
