miragejake Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 What can I say...this is a great McCarty or McKorina as some call them...do your research-- these early McCarty Korina's w/ the Brazilian rosewood board's are very highly thought of and a really fantastic "production" model PRS if you will. These are fairly rare as PRS only made 500 w/ the Brazzy boards. This one is near mint w/ little playing time on it. I got it about 6 months ago from the original owner who was a PRS collector type...his main axe was a PRS "Paul's" guitar so this one stayed in the case most of it's life. I really love the McKorina...it sustains for days and has a very nice round and slightly darker tone. I just don't really play anything other than my Tom Anderson Cobra these days. It's a solid chunk of Korina w/ no top which I dig...there's amazing grain to the wood which my Iphone 4 did a poor job of capturing...I can try to get better pics if someone needs me to once my wife gets back tomorrow w/ her Iphone 6. Sorry we don't have any real camera's The wide / fat neck is solid Korina as well and is really nice and chunky...LOVE IT! I'm not sure if the neck finish is poly or nitro or what but it's smooth as silk and really plays fast and smooth. The pickups are McCarty Treble / McCarty bass...normally I like to fool around w/ swapping p'ups...but these sound great--and they have coil taps as well...I was shocked at the spanky single coil tones I could get w/ them. I spent about $125 having the guitar setup and having the frets polished two months ago so it's ready to go...comes w/ OHSC. The new owner of this McCarty will be a happy guy or gal for certain. $1425 shipped firm is the price which includes Fedex shipping and full insurance. THE ONLY TRADE I MIGHT DO WE BE FOR A 335 TYPE!!! omes w/ all original case candy as well. Here's a cool article about the McKorina's I found:http://www.musicradar.com/us/reviews/guitars/prs-mccarty-korina-156737Here's a great demo of a 2007 McCarty Korina:

Tortious Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Awesome. If I didn't already have the same guitar I'd be all over it. Hell, I still want it. Yours and mine are a couple hundred apart on serial numbers.
