Marvelicious Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 No affiliation, etc... Not cheap (really not cheap), but if you're really after a Korina Vector, try em both and pick your favorite. https://www.thunderroadguitars.com/?s=hamer
tommy p Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 I've been looking for a korina Vector for a good while now. Too bad about those prices. I noticed for some reason they used the same pic of the back of the headstock for both guitars - same serial number. All the other pics appear to be different.
Drew816 Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 Maybe they throw in a AC Unit install locally since the temps are so high nowdays? That's the only thing I can think that explains those prices...
BoogieMKIIA Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 An original bridge adds $1K. Or curly neck is -$1K
chromium Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 Nothing's like a Hamer, but for anyone looking - I've been very happy with my '16 Momose MFV. All handmade. Great build and quality, if you're up for shopping the Japan market. They come up from time to time. Got mine over here for ~1800 total. That's crackhead territory on the Vector prices, but even fair market is getting pretty high these days... (the Phat Cats were a previous owner mod; its running a set of Seth Lovers now)

I understand they came as a pair. I figure the price for one would probably be pretty decent... for the pair.
Ua D Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 I swear both of these were listed by another seller for far less a few weeks ago on reverb. Looks like more Hamers that will sit forever at thunder road.
Ua D Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Yep Im not crazy. Or maybe am but my memory is still correct https://reverb.com/item/40928783-hamer-vector-flying-v-2004-natural-korina https://reverb.com/item/40915475-hamer-vector-korina-flying-v-2004-natural
Xavier180 Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Prices are all the more insane when compared to the little special at 999$...

Solid plan. 🙄

I understand Thunder Road got them at the Tacoma Guitar show... might have swapped some inventory or something, just to keep fresh things in the store. Good tactic... wrong price.

ebradfordrich Posted July 9, 2021 Posted July 9, 2021 GC: “Nice try, Thunder Road. No one will out-delusion us when it comes to grossly over-pricing guitars we know nothing about. Seven grand seems like a good starting point…” https://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Hamer/2005-KORINA-VECTOR-Solid-Body-Electric-Guitar.gc

shankyboy Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Dang! If that's what those are priced at, what are people asking for the '98 limited edition ones?
