Hbom Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I use reverb AND tremelo a lot. I think it covers up my sloppy picking.
Biz Prof Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 To me, it's a nice tonal brushstroke when added in living room venues, but perhaps not as needed in Madison Square Basement.
Jakeboy Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I like a nice real tape echo or analog delay sometimes as well…..
hamerhead Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 NO! It's too much, what with the cardboard walls and all.
LucSulla Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I don't use reverb much in the living room, but I find myself regularly screaming into the void in there. Kinda the same?
Travis Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Little bit of reverb and delay. Tremolo at the barely perceptible level. Sounds good to me.
gorch Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I’m using natural reverb. Our living room has a cathedral sound.

I only use reverb if it's a built in feature in the amp. But I used the reverb both in the JCM800 2205 and Vintage Modern 2466 Marshalls. My Deluxe Reverb II always has the reverb on. I do love a good delay pedal too. The Catalinbread Belle Epoch is my to go home delay right now. It's so good I think I might get another one for the pedal board, to use with the band as well.
Steve Haynie Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I mostly play through amps without reverb built in. When I play through a combo with reverb it usually stays off. When I got my Boogie combo a couple of years ago the reverb was barely turned up by the last user, and it was a perfect setting. A tiny bit of reverb can be a good thing.
