Thanks, Ted! I'll try to post to the thread that kicked me out twice and see what happens. Wish me luck...... -
PSA - Suhr will rewind their pickups for $35

At the time the ML Standard was over $100 a pop. A $35 rewind would have been a bargain even with shipping tacked on. - Today

Time you pay shipping back & forth, you may be able to find another pickup. -

This must be a new development because I somehow clumsily ripped through the windings on an ML Standard and asked if it could be rewound. They told me they didn't do that - was about fifteen years ago. Unlike my normal MO, I am sure I threw the pickup away (I normally keep everything, just in case, you know?). As you said, a great bargain and great to know for my future clumsy operations. -
20+ years ago I had a Hamer FB in pink. At the time things were tough times, sold it to a fellow HFC'er who may still have it. Sold a Septer with LED in the neck at the same time. BTW: I got that Scepter in a straight up trade, for a late 90's PRS Customer 24.

Bernie was great. I always loved Whitesnake. The real Whitesnake from 1977 to 1982 (1984). Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody was a classic 70's guitar duo. Bernie left before the band recorded Slide it in. But Micky Moody and replacement Mel Galey did a great job on that album too. Geffen demanded a re-recording with flashy John Sykes. But, just as with Lizzy, he ruined the band more than adding anything worth talking about. (Hair metal fans peed their pants with joy though.) Seek out the original Slide it in version of the album. It's a lot better. After that Whitesnake became an MTV money maker. But it was not Whitesnake anymore. It was Coverdale solo, with guests, adapting to the times.

Hey everyone, Quick update on the connection problems some of you have been hitting, especially the "I tried to post pictures and the site timed out / booted me" issue on the forum. I know this has been frustrating, and a few of you have gone out of your way to let me know exactly what you were doing when it happened. That detail is genuinely what let me track it down, so thank you. What was going on: one of our security tools was misreading normal activity as suspicious. Posting a batch of images to a thread, in particular, was tripping it — the more pictures you added, the more likely it was to lock you out for a while. It was never anything you did wrong, and your accounts were never at risk. It was an overcautious filter, plain and simple. What I did: I found the exact setting causing it and corrected it, so posting pictures to threads should work normally again. Our real protection against actual threats is still fully in place, I only turned off the part that was falsely flagging regular members. What you should do: just carry on as normal. If you were locked out, you should be back in. Go ahead and post those pics. If anyone still runs into a timeout or gets blocked — especially when uploading images, please let me know, and include what you were doing and roughly when. If it helps, the site or your internet provider may show you an IP address; that's handy for me to pinpoint it, but no worries if you can't grab it. Thanks for your patience while I chased this one down. It took a few rounds to fully corner it, but I think we're in good shape now. Cheers, Ted - Yesterday

I dunno, have you looked inside a 90's Gibson LP or SG case recently? 😂

It's like, how much more pink could it be? And the answer is none - none more pink.

Please correct me if I am wrong. I believe this Cruise has passive DiMarzio pickups. They are loud as hell and sound amazing. I've been playing my Chaparral up until acquiring this Cruise last week. The Chaparral has EMG's and are also amazing but these passive pickups are twice as loud. The voice of this Cruise and super nice and its playability is very nice and smooth. Overall very happy with the purchase and I can look past it's imperfections. Message me if someone should have a blue Cruise that they would be willing to part with.
