  1. Past hour
  2. Love it! I've always thought it would be nice to have a more portable Leslie cab for guitars. I absolutely love my Mesa Revolver especially since the speaker itself actually rotates but it is becoming a little more awkward to haul around to gigs as I get older.
  3. Kinda reminds me of Shakira’s Special.
  4. Today
  5. Saw a more recent interview with Huff and he said he played on the radio edit version.
  6. Even this old dog has new tricks to learn, assuming that the veracity of Wikipedia is unassailable: In the Wiki article, Coverdale referred to the Whitesnake's hair-metal replacements as, "The Vid Kids." Ah, them cheeky Brits. Ya gotta love 'em!
  7. Yeah, that's true, unfortunately. Lizzy definitely went out with a fart. Ironically, Marsden would have made an excellent pairing with Scott Gorham. Maybe they would have had one last, killer hard-rock album to release?
  8. Thank you. That's going to be fun.
  9. Glad to hear you're recovering well! This happened recently to a drummer friend of mine. As a result of a conversation we had during a practice in my basement, he requested a blood calcium test from his doctor, and within a few weeks he had undergone a quadruple bypass. That was in early June, and he's back to drumming in the basement again, and will participate onstage at my upcoming birthday party. He is only 58, btw. He "feels lucky" as he truly was a heart attack waiting to happen due to his blockage, which was nearly 100% in two different arteries. I personally had what I thought was a heart attack scare about 18 months ago. It turned out to be a high blood pressure incident, and all the tests done on my heart and arteries came back okay for a guy of my age, 70. Your advice to get checked is spot on.
  10. TSC in the Web Model tone stacks in real time online. (the app is DOS only)
  11. Thanks, Ted! I'll try to post to the thread that kicked me out twice and see what happens. Wish me luck...... ETA: It worked. WooHoo! All you jerks are stuck with me now!! ...I mean....except Ted. You're not a jerk, little buddy....
  12. At the time the ML Standard was over $100 a pop. A $35 rewind would have been a bargain even with shipping tacked on.
  13. It's never been this cheap before. $1.99 A Fine Line Between Stupid and Clever: The Story of Spinal Tap, by Rob Reiner: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D4MFQDDZ

  14. 1996 model. Says includes hardshell case. Doesn't specify if an original Hamer case a call might clarify. The look of gold hardware is fine with me but I find it isn't very durable.
  15. Time you pay shipping back & forth, you may be able to find another pickup.
  16. This must be a new development because I somehow clumsily ripped through the windings on an ML Standard and asked if it could be rewound. They told me they didn't do that - was about fifteen years ago. Unlike my normal MO, I am sure I threw the pickup away (I normally keep everything, just in case, you know?). As you said, a great bargain and great to know for my future clumsy operations.
  17. Incredible top and love the crown inlays but not the gold hodware.
  18. 20+ years ago I had a Hamer FB in pink. At the time things were tough times, sold it to a fellow HFC'er who may still have it. Sold a Septer with LED in the neck at the same time. BTW: I got that Scepter in a straight up trade, for a late 90's PRS Customer 24.

  20. Bernie was great. I always loved Whitesnake. The real Whitesnake from 1977 to 1982 (1984). Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody was a classic 70's guitar duo. Bernie left before the band recorded Slide it in. But Micky Moody and replacement Mel Galey did a great job on that album too. Geffen demanded a re-recording with flashy John Sykes. But, just as with Lizzy, he ruined the band more than adding anything worth talking about. (Hair metal fans peed their pants with joy though.) Seek out the original Slide it in version of the album. It's a lot better. After that Whitesnake became an MTV money maker. But it was not Whitesnake anymore. It was Coverdale solo, with guests, adapting to the times.
  21. No, I’m referring to a natural spruce-top Monaco with a DuoTone bridge and electronics that someone custom ordered. Can’t find a pic anymore, sadly.
