  1. Past hour
  2. I can't speak for Rexylab guy, but Gary Kahler is a good guy. My understanding was that the social media thing was to heighten awareness of Kahler with the end goal of Gary being able to sell the company since he's 87. He must be good to work for, as a number of people have been there for decades. Dude even sources screws made in the US.
  3. Today
  4. You should seriously consider putting this on Reverb. The market is quite limited here at the HFC, with all of us having Hamer's already. Most everyone who wants an artist in 59 burst is likely to have one. Mine was an almost exactly like yours and I cleared $1900 after fees and shipping on reverb couple months ago, and I don't think this is a great time to be selling guitars. . Yours would sit right in a good asking range there since it's either overpriced ones, or non-custom artist models.
  5. I actually knew about the UPS "My Choice" thing. Not because I had it happened to me, but it DID happen to a good friend who bought a spendy Les Paul. Same kind of deal went down with him, UPS trashed the guitar [Neck AND body broken!.............. how do you even do that?, was the UPS guy hang gliding with the package?] Store refused to take it back, and of course UPS bowed out and refused to pay He used PAYPAL to buy the guitar and he got all his money back. The store did get it back he said, so they probably wrote it off as a loss as damaged store goods. I have not bought an amp of any kind except in person. The last one I bought was my Pearce G2r [All 80lbs. of it] that was shipped to me, it came out of Chicago and at the time I lived in Minnesota. The music store crated it, foam packed it, then boxed it in a Marshall amp box and sent it USPS EXPRESS MAIL fully insured and with tracking. They shipped it Monday I got it at 3:00 Tuesday. You almost have to a have a Harvard law degree to be able to understand some of this stuff. Unfortunately, there are no good shipping companies anymore...........maybe the one Jeff mentioned might be an exception. If and when I sell anything now you're going to come get, I'll do a few miles within reason. I have never had anything get damaged or lost.............I guess I just lucky. Sorry to hear about the mess you went through.
  6. Yeah, he is all of that and more- he initiated one of those fracases on the Floyd Rose Club FB page. 🤔 Let that sink in.
  7. Sounds like a horse’s posterior.
  8. The one above is a jazzburst (back is also bursted). Looks darker likely from the mohagony. I almost picked up a dual HB version of this a looong time back. They're out there, but i haven't seen many. Most are, as said, red. The custom order is on the left. The stacked binding is quite cool.
  9. Halloween eve bump.. come on this is a good one
  10. I used to use an adapter/footplate thing with my H9, it was from a company called BARN3. I love the eventide algorithms, but wasn't crazy about the the physical UI of the hardware, like it was intended to be minimalist and efficient, but came across as vague and somewhat counterintuitive. Having two extra foot switches that were assignable was an improvement. Edited to add- if you're willing to wrap your brain around MIDI programming, the Morningstar stuff is very capable and flexible once you learn to speak its language. The mc4 pro would likely do everything you'd ever need, in a small footprint.
  11. Yesterday
  12. I have played the B3 version of St James Infirmary live a few times on 0006. No recordings exist tho…
  13. I have an Artist Korina HB in jazzburst that has a neck that I judge all others by. Someone buy this!
  14. Shishkov V8, last nite....Ratinger Hof, Dusseldorf, Germany. Die Hektischen Flecken, that's my band 🎢
  15. Sometimes boxes puff out a little. Just measuring at the corners might not be correct. The packing sometimes changes the physical size enough to change the dimensions. I've had that happen to me too. They have lasers that measure all boxes and get exact measurements. Weight, not so much. I recommend getting a good scale too.
  16. Rumer has it FedEx and UPS will consolidate into FedUp shipping. We'll have to see if it happens.
  17. Just a little bump. Who'd like to acquire this fine, American gee-tar?
  18. Looks like a tamed down version of @veatch's custom ride (his was pimped up by orders of magnitude).
  19. I have used these on my "threaded" strat trem arms and it works wonders... Genuine Fender AM SRS BLACK Guitar Tremolo Arm Strat Tension Springs - Set of 12 https://reverb.com/item/6741506?utm_source=android-app&utm_medium=android-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=6741506 Or Trem-Arm Tension Spring - StewMac https://share.google/uNx1hO65Gm97DPHot
  20. I didn't know more than one 510 version existed. I've installed the 510 w/black block on a few clients' guitars and I've got the same unit on a couple of my personal superstrats (photo of "burgundy pist" included). The black block 510s sound and perform beautifully, sweet liquid feel, tuning is very stable, love the better bar assembly, the comfy saddles under the hand ... I really can't ask for more for myself or my pals. And I can't really see a need to upgrade, much less tack an upcharge on an already superior product.
  21. From the video of that show a few weeks ago that he couldn't make it through, I thought it was going to happen THAT NIGHT. As much as I love him and the band, I hope he just retires. He's given plenty.
  22. I tried to get Ah! Leah into many a cover band over the years and was never successful. Great song. He seemed to be loved by everyone, especially in the 'Burgh, RIP.
  23. My favorite still is the guy who rolled a 4x12 cabinet from the back of his truck to the front. By 'rolled' I mean it didn't have wheels - he flopped that thing end-over-end. I'm in the house and hear this whump whump whump. I get to the truck and he just has this dumbfucking 'What?' look on his face. Genius. Still worked, though.
  24. Would this help? https://shredlabsguitars.com/
  25. Yes, the cam models are still made. I've noticed an uptick in marketing and promo for Kahler, particularly on social media & YouTube. Though, it has had mixed results. The guy (Rexylab) heading it up and making a presence on various guitar and Floyd-centric FB pages & YT, subscribes to the marketing tactic of controversy & drama = heightened exposure & product sales. Kinda like the corporate version of "even bad publicity is still publicity." I've borne witness to and even participated in pushback to his confrontational style. He was chased out of at least 2 FB groups because of his approach.
  26. If you ever decide to move it on, I'd love to buy it. I don't give a rat's ass about Shakira, but it's a cool guitar and because we only tour in South America I think it would bring me good luck :D.
  27. In another thread (maybe even another forum), someone stated that if your box gets distorted during shipping - say something heavier gets put on it and the end flattens and pushes the end flap out in a V-shape. If they measure it at that point, they will take the longer measurement and boom, upcharge.
