  1. Congrats!! And Good Luck on your next venture.
  2. Looks great, Al. Well done!!
  3. Thank you, sir. Much appreciated!
  4. I've been listening to the stuff you sent me a couple weeks ago and it IS the perfect Sunday-morning-with-coffee music (it's actually playing right now). The new Tally tune is sweet. VERY well done. Thanks for posting that. And I'd gladly take anything else you'd like to send.
  5. Here's to a speedy recovery. Get well soon, Brooks.
  6. Total rock machine. I love it! I HAVE to get a 'bird. That one's kicking my GAS into overdrive. Dave - your taste in COs is incredible. Well done!
  7. Very cool. I like it a lot.
  8. Will I blindly buy one brand over another? No. But I'll always lean towards the brand that's proven itself. And there are certain brands I won't even consider if I've had an overly negative experience with them before. Buy guitars by feel. Put on a blindfold and pick. Hamers just happen to consistently feel real good, but I have other brands too, because variety is............
  9. That would be cool. Maybe throw a sofa out the window from the 7th floor. Me and the Mrs. (at least me anyways) are really wanting to do this thing. It's close enough to her birthday, and meeting Paul could be my present to her. Maybe the Wizzconsin contingent could convoy that way.....
  10. PEOPLE!!PEOPLE!!PEOPLE!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!? He brought us the SUSTAIN BLOCK!! He gets a permanent pass! ...oh how quickly we forget............
  11. Yep - that's what I was thinking, too - Chappie minus the center pickup. The neck alone is almost too cool to pass up.

    Agreed. RIP, John.
  13. I often have the dog bark in the middle of a track. Sometimes I leave it cause it distracts from my singing.
  14. I'm playing out for the first time in 6 months and the first time EVER (gulp!) on bass. At a Kwik-E-Mart. For a cruise night. On Tuesday. From 6 'til 8. With a total of one rehearsal under our belts, it should be interesting if nothing else!
  15. Happy Birthday, Dave. Have a fun one!
  16. Very nice! Congrats.
  17. Sounds very cool. Hmmmmmm..........may need to take a little trip..........
  18. 2112 is my favorite. It was the first one I'd heard, and it kicked my butt. I was 16 and learned it all just to impress my friends! I saw them 3 times in the late '70s/early '80s, when they were young(er) and hungry(er). The first time blew me away, and they just got better after that. I lost interest - don't get me wrong, I still like them - when Alex found the whammy bar. He had/has such a massive vibrato IN HIS LEFT HAND (listen to 'Twilight Zone') that the stupid whammy just messed everything up. The synths didn't do much for me either, but hey, we still have the first 4 or 5 discs, right? Awesome - AWESOME - live act. If you haven't seen them (even if you're not a big fan), you gotta check them out. It should be mandatory.
  19. Good eye there, bubs! Everybody was so awe-struck (and rightly so) at the neck repair that they missed the 'third eye' getting fixed. It's so well done that it's easy to overlook. Basically, everything (save the bridge and tuners) was replaced because, well - none of that other stuff belonged, ya know? I can't wait to hear them Rios. I mean, besides the time I picked up the phone to hear Greg just wailing away on it. That was so cool.
  20. Well, I've had time to take a cold shower and regain my composure a little bit, but still - holy shit. The only word I can think of to describe it is 'magic'. The finished product is so far beyond my expectations I'm having a hard time getting a grip. Wow. Just wow.
  21. NEW DESKTOP PIC!!! Jeezus, Greg! You weren't kiddin'. I'm pretty much speechless right now and if you ask my wife, that's not possible. Holy sh.............
  22. Too much coffee.
  23. This should be pretty cool............
  24. Duuuuuuude....................(shakes head, walks away).
  25. BINGO!! There's already more than a few Sustain Block Specials out there. A Standard Jr (or some other shape Junior) would be a bit different. Or a flat-top P90/Triplecoil Sustain Block Monaco Elite (no boomers or Standard headstock this time). ...And I don't want nobody copying my SB Jr.!!
