  1. Mike, Bubs already said what I was thinking. Let me know how I can help. Take care, brother.
  2. Hey Mudshark, the more I hear of Okkervil River, the more I like. Thanks for the posting.
  3. Those are lovely, Django. Nice, nice work. I also like pretty guitars, including maple, but I only have one. I've another one ordered, and from what I can tell, it will be gorgeous, and I'm willing to bet will sound great, even when I play it.
  4. The "How tubes are made" videos are fantastic. I'm just fascinated. Many thanks for posting them, guys.
  5. Wow. That's impressive work Mike, thanks.
  6. Just lovely,Mike! Thanks for these updates!
  7. Lovely guitar, for sure, and cool build photos. What's with the expanding foam on the buffing machine? Noise suppression? Back to the thread, and good luck with the sale.
  8. Wow. And the more I look at it, double-Wow. That Taylor sure is pretty. I have to wonder how he expects to replace that Taylor specialized thing (with the cool cutaways) with a roller bridge, however.
  9. Austin City Limits is a national treasure, in my book. I love the show.
  10. It started with watching Johnny Cash, if we are to believe it! Happy Birthday, Thorn.
  11. Shiny...very shiny. Didn't rainman say something like that on a slightly different subject? Nice work!
  12. Unobtainium! That's the stuff. Got to get some of that. Thanks for the posts, and the work. I'm looking forward to plugging it in, if only I can decide what finish to ask for.
  13. Toby! Where have you been? Guess it doesn't matter. Welcome back.
  14. The priority that many people place on their cell phones as compared to treating the people around them decently has gotten out of hand. It is a form of selfishness or maybe an expression of an inability to delay gratification that worries me. (Kids, get off my lawn. Yeah, I'm older and grumpy.) I'm glad Frampton did what he did.
  15. That's pretty cool! Mystery solved? Did they say there were no serial numbers on them?
  16. Wow. That's pretty FANTASTIC. We see this end result, but I'd like to know the back story. Regardless, I'm impressed.
  17. Tough choice. At the moment I'm on the hook for a '59 burst, but I change my mind between that and many others daily. A green burst sounds awfully cool, as does a tobacco burst, and a kelleher burst, and every other one (other than clown burst) I've seen. Love them all.
  18. I committed to buying one around 0900-1000 this morning. I had to do it at work. My boss also plays guitar and will understand! I hope I (and all the rest of us) was/were early enough to make the cut. I wish Mike the very best with this, and hope we can all continue to support him.
  19. "One of a kind." We can hope.
  20. Very impressive; well done, and thanks for sharing.
  21. Good luck, everyone. I hope all of you in the path duck this stuff. I didn't like this aspect of life when I lived in Omaha.
  22. I've missed seeing these impressive projects, thanks for putting it up. I'll be interested to see how you remove the excess wood on the back of the neck. Does the order of installing splines vs. reinforcing the weak wood matter in this specific case? (Splines first, then replace wood vs. replace the weak wood and then put splines in? The engineer in me is curious. Thanks. ) I know where to send mine if anything like this ever happens.
  23. Yeah, we are doomed. Doomed! No other explanation makes any sense.
