This is a somewhat impressive attempt to kind of sort of portray a guitar as almost maybe possibly a real 59 LP... or similar. 🫣

1959 is the most celebrated year for Gibson Les Paul guitars, with originals being among the most sought-after and valuable electric guitars in history. This Goldtop conversion project brings the vintage appeal of a '59 Burst at a fraction of the cost of an all-original example. The restoration work-likely including a re-top-aims to capture the classic look, feel, and tone of the Holy Grail of electric guitars. While the PAF pickups bear convincing stickers, their authenticity remains uncertain, making this an intriguing piece for players and collectors alike. The switch tip and potentiometers are non-original. The pots date to late 1978. Comes in a 4 latch Lifton 50's National-style hard case.
The headstock is very narrow and possibly homemade or altered. Missing one screw in each G&D tuner. The modifications and non-original components provide an opportunity to own a vintage-style Les Paul with the character of a late-'50s model.

BTMN - appears to be him or his brother, who apparently had a guitar store in NY state 20 years ago. 

Went down a rather icky rabbit hole searching on Sarantakos and guitar. Never heard of either of them before.

Maybe he's trying to convey the illusion of it being almost something part of kinda like an actual 59. 👽

Yes, the Chibson 59 gold top resto to a 78 whatchamacallit is a true deal.

The neck is hand carved or replaced or made of several Boy Scout Pine Car Derby kits, wire hangers cut and hand ground to shape with a 130 in radius. 

The C and H in Chibson have been modified with a Gibson Office 2025 "Sharpie" to give it that authenticity only the best hand writer in our factory could bring for that soul filling feeling of owning a Genuine Chibson can bring to its owner.

The tuners made from fishing lures are missing one screw from the two screw treble hook retainers.

With one tuning you'll be hooked on you 1959ish 78 whatchamacallit Chibson.

That blows me away. Unless there’s more info somewhere, there’s nothing in the listing that even hints that any part of it comes from 1959. It could literally be anything.

I'd reluctantly accept a $15k payment to go to that desert cesspool called Vegas and be in the same room as Peter Criss. As for paying to do that...nah.
