LucSulla Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 I can't quite bring myself to pull the trigger on this, but for $899 plus shipping, seems like a price straight out of 15 years ago. https://www.austinvintageguitars.com/store#!/1999-Hamer-USA-25th-Anniversary-Double-Cutaway/p/798901769 7 1 Quote

Dave Scepter Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 Also listed "for a little more" on Reverb Hamer 25th Anniversary Artist 1999 - Cherry https://reverb.com/item/93440661?utm_source=android-app&utm_medium=android-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=93440661 1 Quote

Any time I see an actual shop who lists on reverb, I always check to see if they have a website with their own POS. I'd say 75% of the time if they do, they don't charge sales tax. Easy way to save 7% (for me in MS), and if it's cheaper with free shipping to boot, well hell yeah. Did I mention I'm a degenerate guitar buyer? 5 2 Quote
Saul Goodman Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 (edited) I'm looking at a Les Paul tomorrow. If I don't snag it I may look into this. ETA: Wasn't the 25th usually a metallic gray? Also, are these the usual JB / 59 set? Edited December 8, 2025 by Saul Goodman 1 Quote
plagtr2 Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 Love mine. Changed the tuners to stamped/plastic knobs (looks cooler and some Motor City pups. A great guitar! 1 Quote

Jakeboy Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Damn fine deal. I paid more for my 2004 Artist Korina HB back in 2007. 2 Quote

Dave Scepter Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 (edited) FYI, just received a email answering the question regarding the NON crack.. I'm just trying to make sure everybody spends their money wisely and does not end up with buyer's remorse... please forgive me for the false alarm 5 hours ago, Saul Goodman said: Mineral deposit, Maybe? Saul Goodman Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 I'd buy it but then I'd have to relic it. 3 Quote
Ua D Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Best of the 3 artists I owned was the 25th plain one like this. Had lots of dark grain streaking also. I think these are one of the best values in the Hamer lineup. I swear I've never seen a decent picture online of what these look like in person with the transparent cherry finish over mahogany. I include my photo too, I'm no photographer and I never could capture what it looks like in person. 8 Quote
hamerhead Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 Times are definitely f***ing weird right now when - after 4 days - this thing still sits unclaimed by any one of us nutcases. The end is near. 4 3 Quote
