For me, it is getting fat, followed by getting creaky.

I've put on a whopping 30 big ones in just 5 years.

I wake up every morning, and creak and snap for about 5 minutes, as the tendons align, lol.

It's the creaky thing that ticks me off. After coaching one of my sons baseball games, and just walking around, demonstrating the correct stance to the players, and bending over to pick up baseballs, I walk around like my 68 year old father-in-law. LOL

I could have voted for "having to wear support hose" under "other," but losing hair is the worst. Pisses me off to no end. The fatness you can do something about naturally. Not so with baldness.

And the creakiness thing is starting to set in. Every morning when I shave, my left knee locks up. Weird.

I'll be surprised if you get any votes for "losing guitar skills." Personally I'm playing better than ever and I've never been happier with my musical situation.

Moving this to the main board for more action.

Here's one of the saddest cases I've seen:

Remeber Gil Gerrard from the Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century TV series?

Loosing my hair. Nothing is making look & feel older than that. I don't care if it all turns gray as long it stays in there.

Man, I miss my hair, but getting fat is way worse. Oh wait, I was fat half the time when I was a kid, too. Can I change my vote?

P.S. You forgot the most important option: "regret". Way to big to just toss it in w/ other. ;)

I battled my weight from the time I was born. I won for some important years, but my doctor is yelling at me now.

The big wheel spins, the hair thins, people forget. They forget they're hiding...

I'd say memory lapses, but I forget if I'm having those...

Creakyness is livable, but it's the actual pains that are the worst part. Arthritis in my fingers is a bitch. I sometimes have to take advil before a gig to get started. If it's not bad, I'll have a bit of pain and discomfort as I start, but then it goes away.

But the tendonitis, capal tunnel, cubital tunnel etc... REALLY sucks. Huge time. Not bad enough for me to get surgery, but I don't like it.

But ultimately, the absolute worst part of getting old is watching friends get really sick and watching them die. Many way too young.

;) I have no guitar skills, so disease for me. Dad had RA and heart disease and cancer. Sis has Chrone's disease. Brother has a sick sense of humor...oh wait. ;)

I have all my hair (though it's graying quickly now) and I'm within 3-5 lbs of my weight in H.S.

But DAMN my joints (wrists particularly) hurt these days. Creakiness sucks.

And it's just going to get worse, too.

Creakiness. Everything hurts ...and unlike the early 20s it takes forever to feel better now

Thining hair sucks. So does creakiness. I work 12 hour shifts and walk around on concrete all day. By the end of the days my feet, legs and lower back are killing me.

The ulitmate bummer is that I'm now older than my dad was when he had his first heart attack. He died when he was 59. My mom passed at 61 of cancer and suffered a stroke in the mix. One of my sisters has already battled cancer and kicked its ass. One of my sisters has already had a heart attack. Getting old does suck. Like I tell my residents at the nursing home, getting old is the hardest thing you do. That's why god saves it for last.

Losing Libido...without question. I miss the days when I could get it on 4 times a day, everyday, and each time went for about 1hr....*sigh* My wife used to call me the Energizer Bunny. LOL!!!

Other:

Becoming invisible to women under 30.

Not that it matters to those of us who are happily married, but still, the apathy is a blow to the ego.

Creakiness. I'm still FIT and not bald, and seem to have aged fine except that the BMX and mountain bike racing and snowboarding and motocross that helped keep me fit and feeling young broke a helluva lotta bones. Things are starting to get chronically sore, so I figure in twenty years I'll be using a cane. I do take glucoasmine and keep exervising, though.

Hair. Dammit. Used to be down to the middle of my back. Dammit. Dumb bald Dad. Dammit. Why couldn't it skip THIS generation. Dammit.

The creakiness and aches are the worst. What sucks is that just before I hit 40, I was in the best shape I've been in since college (a little backsliding in the past year...), but now I wake up every morning and have to eat two Aleves because it's impossible to walk down the steps. The arthritis in the fingers is really bad too-particularly in my left hand. I'm seriously considering giving up tae kwon do because it really kills me the next day.
