Pieman Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Decent price, no? Went up for auction about 90 mins ago. Probably won't last long at that BIN. If you buy it, give us a report.http://cgi.ebay.com/HAMER-USA-25th-ANNIVER...1QQcmdZViewItem
SteveE9C6 Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I don't get it... That is a stupid cheap price for a great guitar.

Jorge Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 "frets are in good condition with about 75% life remaining."Not so unreasonable price, I think.
BubbaVO Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 I'm not saying nuthin'. I'm just saying that they should've made that a three-hole instead of some wierd ""f" holed hollow body tele-wannabe-but isn't". But I'm not sayin' nuthin'
elduave Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 ...some wierd ""f" holed hollow body tele-wannabe-but isn't".How is that a Tele wannabe?
BCR Greg Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 The anti F-hole troops continue to bend the space/time continuum.
BubbaVO Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 ...some wierd ""f" holed hollow body tele-wannabe-but isn't". How is that a Tele wannabe? See the asymetric "f" design on the Teles below: The anti F-hole troops continue to bend the space/time continuum. OK. I'm letting it go.

cmatthes Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Kiz commented in another thread that the only thing (in HIS opinion) uglier than a guitar with F-holes, is a guitar with a SINGLE F-hole. I disagreed and pointed out a few examples of some nice Tele Thinlines, which I'm pretty sure he wouldn't find all that offensive. At least that's what I think they're talking about...
DavidE Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Yes, that style F hole was first used on any musical instrument by Leo Fender himself.http://www.duke.edu/~syk6/images/Madrid%20...%20room_jpg.jpghttp://www.shutterstock.com/pic-3461172-violin-detail.html

Steve Haynie Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Back to the subject of why 25th's are not higher priced... They had a list price of less than $1,500 when they were new. It may have been $1295. There is no way Hamer is going to sell the same guitar that cheap now, but there are still a lot of people who have those guitars with less than $1000 in them.
data187 Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 i think the problem is the price vs. the looks.for $750 range on the used market, i think alot of people expect either a flame top, binding, inlays, etc.

For what you listed I usually think $1000+What brand guitars, non-import, can you get with the options you listed for around $750?
sw686blue Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 I got my NOS silver sparkle mahogany Artist for $700 from a dealer off of e-bay. What a crazy sounding guitar. I have not changed the stock pups ('59s) because they sound so damn good.
Steve Haynie Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Ken, that is an "S" hole. The "F" hole has that little line in the middle.
kenjones Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Ken, that is an "S" hole. The "F" hole has that little line in the middle. OK then... I've got your "S-hole" right here...

Guest Meshuggah Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 I've got a 25th fresh from a plek, Darkburst/Crossroads, tone pros and RS electronics I'd let go for two meellon dollars.
