cornjulio Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 My first hamer was a P90 special that I got new from a store in Duesseldorf, Germany. It was overpriced but I loved the look of it and it was a good guitar. I realised though that I needed something with humbuckers so I traded it for an archtop standard that I sold about a year ago. Since then I decided I needed one of the early sustainblock specials. The first was a 1980 translucent red that I sold as the neck was just too thin. I had a few more and my favorite right now is the B&W special I bought from Serial (and the other one I got from Peter and sold to Barry, when I thought I could afford a sunburst). There are a couple more vintage specials that I'd love to see some pictures of like the white matching headstock special, that Bernard has and I'm sure there are a few more crazy ones... If anyone wants to part with a nice old unmolested special, give me a shout! Seems like old standards and sunbursts are just out of the picture for me with prices so high...
cornjulio Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 That was quick. Both VERY nice and in beautiful condition!!!
