Feynman Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 This Thursday marks twelve weeks with this beautiful guitar, but it is time. Go ahead...I can take it. I guess "forever" means "12 weeks." Still, it's longer than the "Year of the Strat" turned out to be. Let's see: 1998 Axis with very rare factory pickguard (Sterling Ball called it both 'rare and unique,' so I'll let you figure out what he meant) Some nicks and dings and stuff - it's been played, but still in quite good condition in my opinion. Assymetrical chunky neck profile Original old-style Axis case. D-Tuna has been removed, and it has been recently setup with .009s at my favorite place in town. This guitar is awesome. I like to stick to facts in my ads, and rarely offer subjective statements, but I'm including that one, because, well, it's awesome. Plus, it's got The Look. Since I'm not totally convinced I can go through with this sale, I'll say the price is firm for now. Thanks for looking! $975 shipped. I'm not sure I want to, but I'm going to click 'Post New Topic' now...
backinit Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 This would look nice churning out Southern Rock tunes.Where is J.....
jisham Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 This would look nice churning out Southern Rock tunes.Where is J.....Man if I had the money I'd be all over this one even though I'm set with my tobacco burst Axis.
atquinn Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Yummy! Those look so much better with the pickguard! So what's next on the list?-Austin
mathman Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Let me be the first to offer advice to cure your problem. The reason you flip these so fast is that doing so isn't painful enough. You are able to sell them for too close to the original price and so there is little incentive not to buy and sell. If you really want to keep them there must be a negative or adverse reaction to selling them. As the first step you should sell me this guitar for $100 with free shipping. Continue this process on all future guitars and I can guarantee you will not wish to sell so quickly. You don't have to thank me. Truly, I only wish to help.
Crwth145 Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Go ahead...I can take it. "It's a part... of my rock & roll fan-ta-sy............ It's a part... of my rock & roll dream, yeah............"
Jeff R Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I'm in the same boat as Jaye on this one. Must stop looking at The Penguin and saying to myself how good it would look against a baby blue tux jacket.
hardheartedbill Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I'm in the same boat as Jaye on this one. Must stop looking at The Penguin and saying to myself how good it would look against a baby blue tux jacket.yeah, but it really should go w/ that jacket, I mean c'mon, it's the first thing I thought
MCChris Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Not one but two killer Axii come up for sale here from trusted sellers for right around $1K and neither of the resident (and frequently gigging) Axis fans take the plunge. Shameful.
BubbaVO Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Na-na-na-naana-na-na-naaHey-Hey-HeyGood-Bye ... to the Penguin. You dropped her faster than Nicholas Cage dropped Lisa Marie.
Feynman Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Ha! I wish I had the LFGF Standard, but my cheap arse would never have dropped that much money on it. I don't have a plan for the next one - I think it's just time for a break... Plus, I could use the scratch. It's really a bitchin' guitar.
Caddie Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Some guy wearing a salt n pepper zoot suit & black n white patent leather wingtip shoes playing in a rockabilly band is gonna love this! quote name='Feynman' date='Jul 13 2010, 12:05 AM' post='463174']

sw686blue Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 So what's in your sights now? Come on, we know you have something brewing!
tommy p Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Thanks to whoever bought it! I've never had one of these, and the black/white color combo was killing me. I'm having NGD today and I sure didn't need to be taken down by another one.

Luckily it's staying in the family - JeffRo is good at sharing awesome gig pics, so we should be seeing more of it in the future, preferably surrounded by hot groupies.
