OK, a fixed bridge going out to the wilds of Wisconsin over the next week.

Honduras mahogany body, maple 3pc neck, SD Pearly Gates bridge and YJM Fury in the neck, ebony board with Graphtec nut, Gotoh bridge and locking tuners - enjoy as there's more a coming later in the week !

Very Nice Jem!

How is the tone being string thru?

I bit hard for me to evaluate as it's got 10's on it but very zingy with a good middle cut to it.

Very nice indeed!

Jem,

whats the YJM like? (considering it)

and how does it pair up with the PG?

just asking, i find the stock axis pup set in a cali sound just a lil too modern.

And the axis stack neck pup just not cutting it for tone and soul...

Wow, is that from scratch?

Yes sir, totally from raw timber through to end product.

I think it matches the PG quite well but i'm not totally blown away with it. Saying that it is slightly more traditional sounding than the axis - i know where your coming from thereabout the axis being a bit sterile for want of a better word.

thanks for the input of.

I peeped on another thread where you like the Chopper,

And the YJM pups are hot for being stacked.

EMG might be the way to go.

I do notice that the bridge Axis is a close tone to the EMG 81....

The Chopper is a superb pickup, i totally recommend it for it's ability to actually sound like a single but with the power of a 'bucker. On the next installment that i'll post over the next few days it has an AT100 in the bridge, a chopper in the neck all through a Dimarzio 5 way megaswitch and i'm totally blown away by the range of usable tones the thing chucks out, a real combination for all seasons !
