KofSeattle Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Two Wheeled Therapy! Here are my therapists. Ride safe!
JES1680 Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 dgstandard, how the hell do you ever get a dirt bike that clean? Other than rolling it off the show floor I've never been able to do it. My latest has my neighbors upset after the new pipes, but I'm enjoying it.
dgstandard Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Now those are some pipes! Some of the bikes were new at time of pictures. Simple Green, a brush and a bit of determination works wonders though.
duncans Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Need to clean my ElectraGlide (no pics) up after 1100 miles this weekend. Out to the Black Hills and back. Great weekend!
oldskoolrulz Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 My '04 fatboy, purchased new. Can't believe it's 11 years old already but it is definitely used for my therapy sessions. Not sure it's as good as Lexapro but I refuse to take antidepressants (even though I feel I need 'em sometimes)
JohnnyB Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Need to clean my ElectraGlide (no pics) up after 1100 miles this weekend. Out to the Black Hills and back. Great weekend!Did you come across Rocky Racoon?

carfish7 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Spent the past 2 weekends chasing my wife up and down Hwy 35 in Wisconsin. Perfect weather, great company, and my "project" bike is now just, well, my bike! The best therapy I know of really. Too bad we have to pack these gems away for 6 months out of each year. Of course, they last longer that way.
carfish7 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 ^^^St. Croix River? or Mississippi?Mississippi at this point.
Greg G Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 My new scooter. Replaced my old Dyna. I also have a '71 Honda Z50a mini trail. I don't care what you ride as long as you enjoy riding. Oppressive heat and daily thunderstorms make riding interesting down here. Ride safe, everyone and have fun.
BadgerDave Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I'm planning 5 day round trip between Chicago and Washington DC in late August. To warm up, I'm doing 500 miles (to northern Wisconsin and back) this coming weekend. Shakedown cruise for the new bike:
tbonesullivan Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Sadly, I sold the Nighthawk a few weeks ago. Thankfully, I now have this: 2012 Yamaha FJR1300
JimiH Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Excuse my ignorance, I'm in Florida on holiday from the UK. I been shooting back and forth up the I4 and today saw a guy with his girl doing 70+ mph with no helmets and both wearing shorts? So what's that all about?Geoff

So what's that all about?GeoffIn some states, helmet use is option for those over 18.We have the freedom to be as foolish as we please here in the USA in many cases. They are potentially doing the gene pool a solid though.
tbonesullivan Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Shorts? No Helmets? Sounds like what we call "SQUIDS". It's supposedly for "Squirrely Kid", and basically when you see one, stay away. They tend to drive like idiots, and the farther they are from you, the better. I am among the ATGATT group, which means "all the gear all the time". I don't want to lose half the skin on my body to road rash, and I like my brain intact. Even with motorcycles most accidents happen close to home and at relatively low speed. So this is what I look like on the bike:
JGale Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Jeezus. You make that FJR look like a mini-bike! How tall are you?
tbonesullivan Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Jeezus. You make that FJR look like a mini-bike! How tall are you? About 6'2", I think. I've also got an XL head, so I look kinda unbalanced at times. I have the seat on the "high" position. It's a great bike. I looked kinda comical on the nighthawk at times. and some years ago on the nighthawk, before I got proper riding pants: Also, in case anyone was wondering, tinted visors are the greatest thing in the world. So much better than sunglasses, IMHO. It takes 30 seconds to change out the visor to a clear one for night riding, if you need to.
JGale Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Ha! You have a Nighthawk, We have a Hulk!**Someone post a pic of Steve/Not Steve with the 3/4 please**
tbonesullivan Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I loved that Nighthawk, but it didn't have ABS brakes, and just wasn't fun on the highway. I had it for 7 years and 15K miles, and now it's moved on to another nighthawk owner, who also has a 93.
ZR Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I'm the same way here Tbone...all gear all the time. It's the only way I ride.Sometimes it's a bummer cuz I would just like to hop on the bike and go. It's a pain to always wear everything, you get hot etc. But, I think it beats the alternative!I havent ridden much at all in the last year and a half. Life's been a little too busy for my tastes...hopefully that will change.

I finally got around to installing the Sena SMH10 on my helmet, which was actually REALLY easy. I'm just REALLY lazy when it comes to things like that. Now I have no excuse to not go on long trips and lead group rides with a GPS.
