hamerhead Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Brat Fest 2015 - Madison WI. The Ultimate sounded great. The band sounded great. And Dave's got it goin' on. Nice back-up, too. The Shishkov was easily the best thing on any of the four stages all day. Just a gorgeous instrument. It was hard to get pictures because the gloss would wash out the color. And pictures don't do it justice. Imagine the best of the best that Hamer had to offer. The Ultimate is ALL of that without question. Dave kept trying to hand it to me and I wouldn't take it. He looked at me like I was crazy. He's a brave lunatic man, but I wasn't putting the first ding in it. No f***ing way. Dave just tore it up on stage. It was fun to watch. His concern about sound was put to rest with the first power chord. Out front it was thick and full, like it should be at a big outdoor rock concert. He stood toe-to-toe with John Masino (Madison's version of EVH) and held his own. A great, fun, and far too short set. Congrats, Dave! You scored on all levels Saturday.

Velvis sounded majestic, killer tone through the Marshall at full stage volume.There were at least two people shooting video and I'm hoping to be able to post clips soon.
