I wasn't working with a guy like Mike who showed me a wood sample of the exact flame I was looking for after I described what I wanted. So, luck didn't really factor into it.

I'd prefer to let those details unfold on their own but the finish will be inspired by a somewhat iconic New Hartford Hamer, and I'm making three tweaks to the accoutrements for personal preference and to set it apart a bit. Other than those things, the Cobra design is right on the money for me.
