Is that a Fender 335 knockoff?

It's a mid-'60s Trini Lopez Standard in Black.

Found this quote on my CNN Business Nightcap email feed...though granted, making a joke about this song is kinda low-hanging fruit:

POST OF THE DAY

In all fairness, I think it was Linda's idea..."Look what I made with the pretty buttons!"

Reminds me of Mark and Brian in Los Angeles doing a live interview with Sir Paul on their morning show. They got their hands on an isolated soundboard clip of Linda doing background vocals on "Hey Jude" during a concert and played it for him over the air. To say her "Na Nas" were flat and offkey was an understatement. As you might expect, Macca was NOT pleased.

I saw that clip. She was awful. But to set up a guy,  let alone rock royalty like Paul, that is low class. Which is why I only do pandora or Spotify now. So tired of dj’s thinking how important they are.

My God! They're beautiful!

For those of us of the X-mas shred mindset, and who have grown tired of the TSO offerings, may I offer up some TSO-derived alternatives with plenty of shred:

Wizards of Winter- former TSO touring members.

And Symphony North- a collab of ex-TSO's and a couple of Dream Theater guest appearances.

Never get tired of this one. My wife has a different opinion......

Gotta make up for the last post.  Funky X-Mas parody.  No groin content.

I’m not. At church we are playing a rocker called Sing the Song of Emmanuel. Great dynamic rhythm part with cool breaks between us verses to solo over.

I hate almost every Christmas song ever written, EXCEPT "Wonderful Christmastime" for some reason.  It's the craziest thing.  Oh, and Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses which f'ing rules!

I can tolerate most any Christmas song for a short time. But I made a mistake years ago giving my wife the Carpenter's CD. Hearing it once is fine. On a loop, not so much.

Howzabout tossing in some Austin R&B Christmas or some other variations?

Softly sipping old Champagne...

Oh-oooooh-oooooh-ooooh-Oreos...

Inexpensive da-a-nish!"
