  1. Past hour
  2. I'm down to 2 these days:
  3. No worries! Thank you for replying, I appreciate the info; I think my PayPal is just tied to my bank account (not a credit card) so I might not have had the option to get the charge back if I had used F&F, so that detail is important. Glad you got it sorted, interested to hear what happened to the seller.
  4. I've been using eBay for years and have thousands of transactions and have never had a single issue with returns... when I shop, I first check if "The item is covered by the Ebay money back guarantee" (regardless if the seller says no returns)... and if I have an issue, I first try to work it out with the seller explaining exactly what's wrong and kindly asking how can we resolve this issue? "so I have a paper trail"... and if we can't resolve the issue ourselves, then I contact an ebay representative "bypassing all the AI crap"... I just recently "within the last couple of days" received a refund for a vintage Harman kardon turntable that I recently purchased that the seller did not pack safely and was damaged during shipping... also kept the turntable due to the seller not responding back regarding the return shipping
  5. Today
  6. Unfortunately it has been that way for quite some time now, wasn't aware of that issue but then I haven't had to return anything................yet.
  7. I sometimes run a Syn2 system in the loop of a Tone King Imperial. Gives me IR options rather than cab cloning, and you get a tasty reverb and tremolo to boot.
  8. Maybe we can get a HFC South dinner together for Saturday evening. I know some really great "under the radar" restaurants!
  9. Geoff, sorry, didn't see this response. It was PayPal. I sent them a message, but their terms state that basically if you use F&F, they basically give you no recourse, so I disputed the charge with the credit card company. They did credit me back.
  10. Batmobile guitar is sold! Come get 'em, my friends, I know you'll love 'em!
  11. Very sad to see this. I met Matt during one of the old open houses. What a soulful person and player, just full of positive energy, talent and flow. Gone too soon. RIP
  12. Yesterday
  13. Just getting around to this, but I finally remembered to buy the Xmas trees and used them this weekend. Spectacular results. They were much more comfortable and provided orders of magnitude better isolation. Caveat: they did not improve my playing but they did let me hear the clams much more clearly. Thank you @geoff_hartwell!
  14. I wish I could remember the original 11 (12)? albums I got back in the day. On the other hand it would probably be very embarrassing.
  15. How would you compare the TV Jones to the P90 pickups @threehole?
  16. Physical media groups on FB talk about phone camera barcode scanners and the software they use; -Libib is free popular for multiple formats, CDs, books and movies. -Discogs is free. -CLZ is popular, has a barcode scanner, but has a subscription fee. -datacrow is free and open source. Good luck 👍
  17. Put in a complaint: I guarantee eBay will refund you. You may have to wait a few days before you can involve eBay but stick with it. That’s said, this scenario always sucks balls 🤷‍♂️
  18. I bought a Telecaster pickguard a couple weeks ago. It did not fit so I retyrned it. It came from the USA so I thought I'd be dealing with an english speaking seller. Nope! Chinese! So I get a refund gift certificate that has to be ok'd by the seller. This is all new shit ebay is doing. He doesn't understand and tells me to just keep it. I had already returned it. Now the money is tied up and there's nothing but AI to talk to and they just hang up because they don't understand. This lesson cost me a little money. First why did it not go back to PayPal? I dud not choose a gift certificate. Second there is not 1 person at the help center. So I'm screwed. BEWARE!!!! EBAY IS NO LONGER A GOOD PLACE TO DO BUSINESS!!!
  19. Ah! Leah was the soundtrack to my senior year in high school. Reminds me of cheap beer and wimmens.
  20. Geez that is a incredible Hamer! Beautiful! GLWTS!
  21. This is sad. His range was incredible. And he was still out there doing it. Amazing. His recent YT videos were great, still knocking them out. And 'Ah Leah' still sounds great after all these years. R.I.P., Dominic Ierace.
  22. I've done copper (relatively expensive - wear gloves or shred your fingertips!) and cheap aluminum foil in Strats. Seems to make about 0.000001% difference, at least in my very limited experience. These days I find the original (Leo got it right, again) plate behind the pickguard is simple, easy and relatively inexpensive. I always liked the Hamer plate in the '80's guitars.
  23. He did not look as cool as the music, but it worked. I wish I had seen him in concert.
  24. Rick is likely wanting to play until he drops dead on stage, but either the band or his family will not let him do it.
  25. Ultimate Classic Rock posted the Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort, the following statement last night where the band had been scheduled to play in February. “Mama said there'd be days like this. Cheap Trick's scheduled performance at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort has been cancelled,” the venue announced via Facebook. The post included the following official statement from the band: “After many years of touring, and a much-needed break, Cheap Trick has decided to take an unspecified amount of time off, therefore this event has unfortunately been canceled. The good news is that no action is required to obtain a refund. It will be processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 Days.” Separately, Thunder by the Bay Music & Motors Festival confirmed Cheap Trick had canceled their scheduled performance for February 2027. "While we are has announced they will be taking an “unspecified amount of time off” from touring. Disappointed by this unexpected news, we respect the band's decision and wish them all the best," the festival said in part. Personally, I'm glad they finally decided to take a break. These guys still tour 125+ gigs including private events annually in their 70's. No word on the remaining 2026 shows however I would not be surprised if they cancel a few of those as well. The Farewell Tour of Japan marked an end of an era and so does this. While I highly recommend retirement, I don't want to see Robin Zanders version anytime soon. All the Best to Rick, Robin, Tom, Bun E., Daxx, & RTZ, their touring management, staff, and road crew. Hamerica
