I've been using a Suhr Thornbucker in the bridge position of one of my Studio Customs for a couple of years. Great midrange and top end response. But one of the coils went open circuit on me recently. I reached out to Suhr and their price for rewinding services is $35 plus shipping. What a bargain!

Please correct me if I am wrong. I believe this Cruise has passive DiMarzio pickups. They are loud as hell and sound amazing. I've been playing my Chaparral up until acquiring this Cruise last week. The Chaparral has EMG's and are also amazing but these passive pickups are twice as loud. The voice of this Cruise and super nice and its playability is very nice and smooth. Overall very happy with the purchase and I can look past it's imperfections. Message me if someone should have a blue Cruise that they would be willing to part with.

I just finished listening to Joe Bona-Mastuh’s Live From Nerdsville podcast interview with Bernie Marsden and have to admit to knowing very little about the guy beforehand. I like to say “I run the risk of learning something every day “. I thought I knew something about most of the late ‘60’s/ early ‘70’s British guitar players, but not Bernie. Consider: In 1974 Bernie bought his esteemed ‘59 Burst (The Beast) from Free’s Paul Kossoff, who got it in a prior trade with Eric Clapton. Bernie was a guitarist for UFO from Nov. ‘72 to June ‘73. When Bernie forgot his passport and couldn’t enter the country for a 1973 UFO gig in Germany in support of the Scorpions, UFO tapped then-Scorpion Michael Schenker to play the gig with them that night. And the rest, as they say, is History! When Deep Purple disintegrated in 1976, Bernie cofounded “PAL” with Ian Paige, Jon Lord and Tony Ashton (I need to check them out). In 1978 Bernie cofounded Whitesnake with David Coverdale. Together they co-wrote the global Whitesnake hit “Here I Go”. Two versions of the song were released on separate Whitesnake albums. The first version (That Bernie played on) appears on the ‘82 album “Saints and Sinners”, but at David Geffen’s urging, Coverdale recorded a second version (the HIT version for the ‘87 album “1987”. I got to see BOC 2x in the early 00's, at the Bottom line in NYC and a the next yr at Toads in CT, and while the shows were very different, one seated and relaxed and the other hot and sweaty, I thoroughly enjoyed them both. I actually found boots of both on a site I visit and l can still enjoy them today and tomorrow

That would be fun. I think you mean this one......Let it go a while ago. FWIW, the "acoustic" side of it worked less well than in other guitars. But certainly still good. I do regret selling my "Ultimate" custom order Duotone.....Sort of a mashup with the style of the Artist Ultimate and special pickups and wiring. Ah well...
